The Legend Of The Last Plant by InsertNameHere

[raw]
made by InsertNameHere for LD34 (COMPO)
All life on this planet has been wiped out completely from global warming. The only hope left for life to ever reclaim Earth is a lonely beanplant, located in an old military bunker in new mexico. It must grow. It is our only hope.

A maze game with a somewhat dark story behind it.

Just go see it for yourselves :) I am way too tired to think right now...

Controls:
and . Turns left/right and selects options in menus.

Objective:
Guide the plant through the bunker and up to the surface! (Yellow square = exit)

Agree with Icel. The web player on this page didn't finish loading, neither did the one in your website.

I tried the windows download. The game is pretty simple. The tank(?) controls are a pain in the ass, but I had some fun with it. The music was kinda annoying after a while. You should make the noise intruments shorter.
Bonus points for using both themes.

Quick successions of turns are rather difficult to go through

Looked like it was stuck on loading for me too but actually it just takes a long time for the last segment. It's a bit difficult to time the turns right, but it's still fun.

Nice for your first try.

The controls were kinda hard for me though. I had to time the buttons exactly at the turns, didn't end up very far.

I remember an old game like this, it worked a bit different, like your snake stopped at a wall but didn't die unless you hit a dead end and then you decided which direction to take, and as a labyrinth you would lose anyway if you end up in your tail, you had to follow the correct path.

Green will rule them all. Good job, easier restart will go a long way in replay-ablity of the game.

I wish corridors were not 1 tile in width :(

Nice entry! Pretty frustrating as it's pixel perfect to turn. I get that it wouldn't be challenging at all if you used the pacman or pix the cat system, but have more time to turn would be more enjoyable!
Except for that point, it's really good :)

Quite a challenging game.

I thought it was unique that the direction was from the plant's point of view, but since that is so challenging, it would be nicer if you didn't just instantly die since it takes a while to get the hang of it. Nice entry though.
