Empty Level is an action/reflection game in which you must successfully complete 10 levels on which you yourself place components.

The placement of components is controlled with the mouse and the movement of the character with the keyboard arrows.

To place a component in the level, select it in the lower interface and place it on the screen (the green cursor indicates that you can place it there, otherwise the cursor is red).

Move: Keyboard arrow or WASD

Components position: Mouse (left click)

Well done ! :) That was quite challenging sometimes, but after learning some tactics I went to the "Victory".

I like the fact that you can place anything anywhere and experiment with different possible solutions.

Now, some feedback:

* The sound effects volume was a bit low. At first I thought there was no sound.
* It's sometimes difficult to click on the items in the menu.
* I wonder if making the items aligned on a grid would make the game better (easy to align items) or worse (the game becomes too easy?).

I did not expect your mechanic to be playable, but I was completely wrong. Your level design was great. It was just challenging enough to be engaging. I'd love to see some music and art applied though.

This is a really great concept! You do have some interface issues but it works well enough. I got a bit stuck in some places until I figured out I could use the door to block the moving enemies and easily kill them. Played until level 10.
If you added more components and polished the UI this could be a great game! :)

Very cool little game! Puzzles are kind of one-dimensional and are all solved with only one tactic (or it was me to quickly find lucky one), but it general it's very pretty and entertaining!

Interesting game where player get to set up their own level. Perhaps an addition of a background track and sound effect can enhance the game experiences. Otherwise, it's a solid game on its own.

That was some unique game play!
It really embraced the spirit of "start with nothing" in the best way that I saw it so far.
Although the tactic was pretty simple and repeating after the first few levels, it was a unique idea for a mini game. It was a bit too easy because you were able to create the whole level on your own and some AI counter level building would have been nice but probably also way too much for the jam.
Anyways, neat game!

This is a cute game with interesting mechanism and I think it should be fun with more levels there! Good job man

Some additional enemy types would have expanded on an already pretty cool game. I liked that you could place items one at a time, which allowed for you to setup the enemies to run into spinning blades.

It was very fun! A good puzzle game, it have some aspects that reminds me from my game "Which is awesome". I agree with dk, more enemies will make it more expanded. Great job with this one :v:

Fun game with cool concept. I enjoyed playing this. Would be cool to come up with something that would prevent using the same strategy over and over and force you to find different.

Once I figured out how the mechanics work, I was able to get almost all the enemies killed without a problem (except for the one last gun enemy, of course). After that, though, I think it was a lot of fun trying to collect the power tokens while dodging the last enemies bullets. If you continue developing the game, you might see if that part of the game is worth fleshing out. Nice job, overall.

I liked the concept of using the enemies and obstacles to make your own levels. I made it up to level 7.

Solid! It's a simple enough concept but fast-paced and strategic, great for a quick fun game.

Considering how simple the concept seemed, the last level was surprisingly difficult. Great work!

Great! Really, really great concept and execution - 5/5 innovation, addictive to beat the level in a perfect way.

Being a level designer (starting from scratch with limited number of assets) and a player at the same time is a really cool idea. One thing you could improve is adding a transition sequence between levels, so that players can enjoy beating a level for a moment :)
