In the beginning there was Nothing.

Then there was... A Box! And in the Box... A Cat!

Because what is better than a cat?

Anyways, there is still no level, so go and unlock parts of the level by collecting shiny orbs.

Also cardboard boxes are super fun. And give you new abilities, so jump into them. (They are mostly for fun though, right?)

Controls:

Move with arrow keys or WASD.

Jumpwith Up arrow or Space.

Scratch Mice by using left control.

I like graphics and mechanics. It is a platformer with a good mood and is fun to play. But I have one thing, I do not like: In my opinion, the hitbox of the cat for spikes could be a bit smaller. Just to make sure that I as a player really see, that I touched the spike. :)

A nice little platformer, with a pretty well designed level. I enjoyed the simple graphics. I did get confused in the very beginning when the second orb appeared almost off the screen behind me, and I ran off in the wrong direction for a while.

It was nice. Jumping sounds a bit like Darth Vader

I liked the humor in this one. Adding abilities by jumping to the box was a great idea. The platforming felt good and there were a solid amount of upgrades. I think some more frames in the animations would have gone a long way, but I can understand how time doesn't always allow. Good job!

THERE WAS NOTHING! THEN THERE WAS A CAT!!!

27 Deaths :D Really fun game, loved the boss battle in the end, platforming had a good difficulty curve... very well designed. Pressing control to attack felt a bit awkward and control+d is a shortcut to bookmark in chrome so that was a bit annoying.

Good Job! Keep it up!!!

I made it in 22 death. Really cool game ! The graphics are simple but work pretty well and the animations were a nice touch. The music is pretty nice and fitting too.

A few nitpicks :
* The jump sound effect is really weird and kind of breaks the immersion.
* Putting attack on control is a bit of a weird choice in my opininion (at least on my macbook pro's keyboard layout it wasn't very ergonomic).
* Lastly the spike collisions could be a bit more forgiving I think.

I think the game could also use a bit more juice (I highly advise both these videos if you haven't watched them yet) https://youtu.be/Fy0aCDmgnxg https://youtu.be/AJdEqssNZ-U

The platforming is pretty solid and it was cool you had time to fit a boss battle in there. Good job !
