The starting idea is interesting but I regret there's no gameplay involving having only one or two control. For exemple in the part of the game with only right, you could have some retractable spikes in the ground so the player have to wait the right time to run. and with left and right, some falling spikes from the ceiling ( different timing ) so he had to use both keys to dodge them.

Interesting game, and trippy graphics. The graphics + music definitely create an interesting mood, though it's hard to put into words what exactly that mood is. Overall fun, and checkpoint spacing felt fair in that I never had to replay too much.

@benjamin That's some good feedback. I really agree with you, having more gameplay in that section of the game would have made it better. Shame I didn't think of anything like that!

The gameplay is great. But personally i think that the background is make us to feel dissy/distracted/difficult to concentrate. A simple and plain bg would do better(personal opinion).

@alphaden I understand what you are saying. Since the background is always moving (and even the ground has a flickering animation), I see how that make some players dizzy. I will take that in consideration next time, thanks for the feedback!

@bender-biber I get what you are saying, I will keep in mind that it's more important to not hinder the player than to include a feature that just looks cool on paper. Thanks for playing, though!

The backgroouuuund was not helping at all :/
The one way/two way movement felt a bit underdeveloped, also a few enemies glitched at the edges of platforms.
The sound effects were nice though and the aesthetic of the power-up orbs really felt powerful. I also didn't feel lost, which is often an issue in the whole metroidvania kind of games.

@thor1 Ahahaha are you saying my music is bad? Yeah, that is something I really need to improve. Thanks for the kind words!

Good job! There are definitely some areas of improvement, like graphics and music, but I'd understand if you aren't a composer or artist. The gameplay was simple, yet interesting. I feel like with a bigger world and some more controls to learn, this could become a really good game.

Good job! Music and graphics were a bit psychedelic but the controls and game design were good. Well done!

Great theme integration into a classic paltformer. Flickering background was a bit distracting. I also made a platformer and didnt want to add checkpoints because it would make it too easy. I now see that people are quitting the game because it's to hard. I like how you spaced them around, didnt feel like I had too much to replay if I had to restart. Great submission!!

Nice platformer. I included it in my Ludum Dare 45 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/ZqT_X6b-pfk

Hey there! Gotta say that the level design in your game was really good, in my opinion. It cleverly incorporated the lack of controls in the beginning and even later on was pretty neat. The idea was used well, not sure why was I able to kill the static spikes, but it sure helped)

Would you please think of the people with epilepsy! That background causes a lot of motion sickness, that's the only problem with the game.

Besides that, it's such a good game, the premise is quite creative. I like how the movement and action contraints add to how you play the game. I was quite surprised with the music, you're either making it randomly or you're into very progressive jazz chords, in any case, it's a cool choice.

I enjoy the use of the theme, I enjoy the gameplay a lot. The graphics are the only part that could have been done better. but great job!!!

there are lots of metaphors that could be extracted from this gameplay, which is a kinda disturbing experience, which also actually makes it interesting. Some simple graphics would already create a good atmosphere for story telling
