Were you able to finish in time?

I hope you'll eventually publish whatever you came up with even if you didn't make it.

Your entry in the last jam was one of my absolute favourites!

Simplicity is the key. Short and visually strong game. Moreover made in one day. Applause!
Great job! really liked.
Hope next game jam you'll have more time to make another one!!!

Oh, moody one! I'd like to see this artstyle polished..

Super cool and atmospheric. The audio was great and the art was very nice. I would've liked some element of extra gameplay or something to it (though time was short). As it is though, it's a really good experience. Had me on edge the whole time.

I like the mysterious tone and setting here. I find the game well structured and paced even though it's short.

The spinning cogs of the factory reminded me of the one featured in your previous game. Also felt bad for the poor guy in the furnace.

It seems your stories tend to feature misfortunate characters who are victimized by others. It was an interesting reversal to play as the bad guy this time around.

I look forward to exploring more of the worlds you create!

@zoya-volkova @oddmes @bocodillo thank you all for playing! :)

@dis0rder really glad you liked it. Honestly, I was so rushed I didn't really have time to actually consciously think about what I was making, so that's the first time I've considered you play as the bad guy. In retrospect I think the furnace man actually is the furnace, considering the bars across his mouth, but your guess is as good as mine ;)

The creepy atmosphere works pretty well and the audio and graphics complements each other to give this mysterious and eerie ambience. I don't know if it's just for me but the window was pretty small, it could be even better if it could be bigger.

One of the most unique entries I saw so far !

FUCK that was really, REALLY good! I'm almost annoyed by how well that came together. The sound reminded me of the original Alien movie, the visuals put me in mind of Limbo but not in a rip off kind of way. It just WORKED. It was so good I didn't even mind how long it took me to work out how to get up the ladder. Seriously, well done. Also, points for being the first game I've played thus far to actually label their Rar file with something non-generic.

Very interesting entry, especially that you managed it in a single day! I relate to 1 day shtick so i feel you on this one, this is very impressive :) I loved the atmosphere a lot, very great sound effects and environment but i feel like players art was slightly comical and unfitting for the environment (but i also am not sure what would be a good replacement). I'm not sure if there is supposed to be any meaning in this game because dang i can't get it but man, that atmosphere is E X T R A T H I C C. Well done!

@alazarius @monsterjail @maximbegunov Thank you all so much!

@goupixm You're too kind <3 :)

@fax It's not for everyone, but I'm very grateful you gave it a try anyway.

@shelvid I appreciate the feedback. I quite like the concept for the player, but in execution I definitely didn't do a great job. The ladder animation stands out as being particularly silly. The meaning is totally open to interpretation!

Great work on the sound design and atmosphere. The way the soundscape changed to the hum of the machines was particularly well done. I wish there were more "game" elements. Maybe I missed something, but after flicking the levers and going back to the furnace the game ended (showed furnace face and then closed). I would love to play a game like this with some light puzzle elements, or a bit more story! Really well done on the composition for the time constraints though!

You made me unconfortable with just the atmosphere of a 2D pixelated game. Great work!

Amazing sound design, and atmosphere. The graphics fit very well with the theme. Seeing the gears turn as you interact with the levers adds a bit of dynamism to the environments which feels very good. And the fact that you made all this in one day is incredible! Amazing job.

@maaya Thank you, really means a lot coming from such a talented artist <3

@boxedmeatrevolution No you didn't miss anything, the game is unfortunately very short. I had some puzzles originally planned, as well as an expanded ending, but just didn't have enough time. Thanks for the feedback!

Both the visual style and the atmosphere were really strong in this game, it was a really cool experience playing this. Gave a strong David Lynch vibe. Could have explained the controls, though it wasn't hard to figure out.

Sfx is on point here. Helps make the place feel more alive as the sounds get louder and softer depending on the room you are in. If it wasn't for that I don't think I would had been as invested in the game. You really took advantage of the factory setting in that department.

@cafelovai Yep, my last game had very minimal sound and suffered for it, so I made sure I put more effort this time around. Thanks!

Excellent mood. The sound effects are really impressive, the way they change from screen to screen adds to the atmosphere. And the visual style is pretty good, too; as someone already mentioned, it is reminiscent of Limbo, but different enough. Even if the graphics aren’t yours, they’re really skilfully put together. A really solid entry, thanks for the short but intense experience.

(just a note: I did wonder whether using purple was necessary, and thought maybe keeping that part greyscale too could have worked better)

@rodrigo-denubila @croewens @sillyman987 Thanks folks :)

@savvy-community That's a movie I've been needing to watch for a while now! I loved Merhige's "Shadow of a Vampire". Would be weird if I accidentally copied its style. Thanks!

@samh Thank you, I see the limbo comparison but actually in this case I was far more inspired by Eraserhead, visually. Maybe you're right about the purple, but the reason I included it was to juxtapose the rest of the game, as I see that visual as being set in a parallel world.

Wow the atmosphere here is really amazing. I wish the main character had some more animation to it so that the slow movement didn't feel as empty, but I can understand that it's not possible with time restrictions. The visual style here is really good, I very love the monochromatic pixel art to build an oppressive setting on this oil rig (I think?). The gameplay was fairly simple but the overall design is what sells it. Nice work!
