DREAMSVincentMassonFerdinandDervieux_01.jpg

DREAMS is an ode to creativity, imagination and dreams. An interactive experience where you start with nothing before being overwhelmed by a flow of colorful shapes and animated objects that pass through your head. Sometimes precious, magical or invasive, dreams accumulate and swarm in your inner space. But where do they come from and where do they go ?

Post jam

Please try the Post jam version with audio and a more obvious multiplayer integration.

The concept is interesting but not much is done with it. It's neat.

I absolutely love all the little sculptures that appear. Are the other names that appear at the end actual other people who have played?

Yes! the end shows the others people who are playing.

The idea is great. There's not much to it at the moment but I liked the shapes and the bounciness of everything. And it looked cool when the object grew and bounced from the "dream bubble". There's much potential in the mechanic.

I like the game idea and art work. It is totally about the theme. Great work!

Strangely entrancing! Very fun game to mess around with, and great physics!

This was so simple and sweet, really suck me in. It just left m with a really melancholic feeling and it is not often something so short and sanboxy give you that. Great art and a wonderful concept, keep making cool stuff like this. The only thing I am missing is sounds, I think you could have made some awesome stuff with some audio, not much just something for ambiance and immersion.

Not really a game but a fun and cool time in a nice and very quiet place. Nice

Thanks a lot for your feedbacks. It's totally frustrating we couldn't add audio but we only had 50 hours or so to work on this. We will definitely update the game later with sounds as it will enhance the overall experience for sure.

Its not very enjoyable but its pretty cool, if you work on this a little bit more it could be a usable 3D planner

Super hypnotic, love the low poly style. Maybe add a little bit of audio to completely trance people.

The game is great! It will be cool if game would reward player with something and add some small linear story, that will bring more sense to the game!

Interesting and beautiful experience! Congratulations to the team. If the clickable objects were a little more interactive the game could hold the player longer.

@danilo-freire Thanks ! clickable objects can modify gravity, change lights, explode, scale up, change color and more. Please explore ! Also the end is happening after 3 minutes whatever you do.

Pretty cool. I don't think it fits Ludum Dare format because strictly speaking it's not a game. Although, I "played" it more than I am willing to admit. Curiosity killed the cat, as they say. I liked it, however I lowered the scores I'd normally give in this case because in my opinion this 'interactive experience' should not win LD. Other than that, good job, guys!

Cool idea for this LD jam, think it should have a bit more polish but it's still great

Gorgeous project, I love the idea of a dream space sandbox a little light on the 'game' aspect but very much enjoyed my experience!

This was a great experience! I liked trying to build blocks with my dream pieces, it was cool whenever the next new shape was weird or animated, I really liked the low poly style and the abstract arrangements reminded me of a lot of really weird and wonderful abstract 3d art. When the camera pulls out at the end and you see the other dreamers was also cool! Would be sweet if you could see what their dreams look like or something. Nice job!

@excy THX for testing. Will add some audio later. Also that was me throwing things. This is a discrete multiplayer experience and I randomly play the game to join some of your rooms :)

Interesting shapes. Nice idea to display other players at the end. It would be nice to move the objects not only in a single plane, but in the full 3D space.

@ferdi This is really a multiplayer where you can throw stuff at players in realtime? That is really some effort you guys put in!

@pythooonuser Hey I really was live and connected to your room (I saw your name like 5 minutes ago). For now I can't control precisely what object is sent but ideally every player will soon be able to send specific shapes to his neighbors

Looks magical, love the idea. it feels like an art installation. I wonder how it feels to play it in VR. at the moment I think it's not possible but could be interesting to use a GAN algorithms with this game

Wow! Really interesting, I kept wishing that those things made weird sounds to make this an even weirder and dreamy composition. I really really enjoyed how thing changed without very much explanation and having to figure out and just play. I love when people make their games be fun toys.

Good job!

I like this one. Even if it has no (clear) goal, it is a calming experience. When I discovered that clicking objects made some of them do something, I tried to find out what all the objects did, and before I knew it the experience was over. It would've been nice if there was some sound, but overall a very solid entry!

That's a very interesting and nicely executed 'gamy' experience. I would have no problems if it won LD at all, since it is... well... interactive!

I had a hard time moving the camera, as it prevented me from stacking objects in the exact way I wanted. Art and concept in this are pretty good.

Such a cool profound experience, the graphics were really good looking, love how expressive you guys could get with rather simple shapes. The audio enhance the experience quite a lot. ven though it's more of an experience than a game, it's still incredibly well made and you guys did an amazing job.

Woah! Thanks for making!

There was so many things to do, even gravity affections; every dream seemed different.

Really sad though, it seems like everyone else dreamt of nothing

Not really sure how to play this game, it just seems like dragging objects to me. Not my thing, but I'm sure other people would like it.
