Pop, Bubble, Count! by Phil C

[raw]
made by Phil C for Ludum Dare 45 (COMPO)

Start from 0 and pop bubbles! The first bubble you pop will be the amount you add. (0 + 2) The next bubble will be the last bubble amount + the first bubble popped. (2 + 2) then (4 + 2).Screen2.pngScreen.png

Edit @ 10/7/2019 @ 10:57PM CDT Changed and removed 1 line from Index.html to remove the ability to fullscreen (that caused a bug in the game and was Unity default export, and as a result, never tested) and instead of saying Unity Project(1) to say the title of the game (Since I was already there). No further change's were made. Source and project is absolutely identical to the one provided.

Hope you understand!

@sode I have actually made it to where there is always a correct answer on the board! Sometimes a font can be a little misleading unfortuantely but I never pinned down exactly which one. Always look at the problem if you have issues figuring it out.

I'll try take a look at your game soon!

@congusbongus I'm glad someone liked the music I had only spent an hour on all the audio! Being primarily an audio guy, this made me sad. Was my first Ludem Dare and I only picked up learning Unity at the beginning of this year! So I learned a whole lot from this project! Maybe your right, I should of put a warning or something on it :c

Love the music. Congrats for your entry. Neat concept although did find the game hard to follow with it moving about etc so soon after starting. Perhaps build up would have been good. Also would have been cool to have LMB to restart game as I was playing on tablet :)

@adliberum Thanks for the comments! My plan initially was to make 3 different modes. For example Easy/Hard which would control the starting amount of balls on the screen and frequency of the screen effects (I agree I should of started the effects on maybe the 4th round). Also wanted to do a time attack mode where instead of the lives concept you had to complete it before the timer hits zero. I ran out of time sadlt but these should all be pretty simple things to add thankfully. I definately want to add to it after the voting period for sure! (Along with other tricky screen effects >:D)

I also orignally had LMB to restart until I had a friend playtest it who beat it but didn't see the score as she clicked to much and accidently restarted it :c

I appreciate your feedback man! I'll try to play your game here soon!

Nice game but really wish it just focused more on the puzzle aspect, the spinning kind of got to my eyes pretty quickly. #Old

That was quite the experience. Great take on the theme, though a little too flashy to play for very long.

LOVE the music! Simple but great game. Loved the progression but maybe you could take a life if you take too long time to pick the next number

Fun game. I was able to finish, although I felt like it got too easy as the number of bubbles decreased. If you did something like increase the velocity of the bubbles as there are fewer bubbles out there, that might make things more challenging later on in the game. Or maybe add some "automatic loss of life" bubbles? Just some thoughts :)
