Start with nothing but an empty pot in your dry garden. Plant, water, and grow healthy succulent plants while clicking away at pesky bugs that are trying to invade your garden and damage your precious plants.

Controls

This game is played entirely with the mouse.

  • Use the Target tool to squash incoming insects with a single click. Some bugs are tough and might need more than one!

  • Use the Shovel tool to add soil to an empty pot with a single click. After that....

  • Use the Watering tool! Click and hold on a pot filled with soil to hydrate it. After a bit, you'll see a beautiful succulent in its place! (You don't need to water them at this point.)

BUGS SQUASHED POST-LD:

  • Fixed issue where dead succ cannot be regrown
  • Added forgotten fonts
  • Fixed absurd spawn rates
  • Fixed succulent hydration
  • Fixed cursor collision
  • Fixed pot
  • Fixed wrong enemy instances being spawned
  • Fixed bug spawning

It worked for me! What a cute game I love succubois! The music was boppin and an overall well executed game. I do think it was a bit slow before the big difficult bugs came, but overall super well done, And whoever did the music Bravoo! And art I love you too I loved the plant diversity. And programming I know the struggle nicely done.

Really neat game, loved the music and the art. Sometimes the buttons were in the way for the insect wich made them difficult to click, but overall a very nice game

I got over 1000 points before I had to just stop. LoL on the console still being in the published game. I believe if you change the setting to "release" instead of "debug" it will remove the console. But I"m not sure what system you are using to build it, but that works when I do it in visual studio. I thought it was a nice game. Even cramped up my hand a bit when them big horse flies appeared. The pots just kept on coming and I kept on fighting off those bugs. :D

cute game -- i really enjoyed the steps needed to grow and especially destroying the bugs -- would have liked some traps to stop multiple to give me more time to water -- thanks for making this

Really enjoyed this game! Reminded me of SimAnt! (yes I'm old lol) Only thing that bothered me was when the ants were going through the bottom right menu options and I couldn't kill them when I wanted as I had 2 pots top right. Loved the music and hated the spiders lol Great entry!!

Great music!

Very tight gameplay. The difficulty ramping is just right.

I wish there was a keyboard command to switch tools.

Unique take on the shooter, I liked it :) Nice idea and all too real.
Difficulty did seem a bit off - there were sections where it seemed to get a good bit easier after it got harder, which kinda broke up the pace. But the hard parts did have that nice hectic/frantic feel to them. I like the music too! Nice work overall.

that was a good difficulty curve. Made a lot of fun. one critiue though: an indicator that a plant is getting watered would have been great!

Very cute game! The music and sound effects were a nice touch.

I personally felt like the difficulty took too long to increase, and I never felt like I "barley made it" (I stopped around score ~600, and I never lost any plant). Which is a pity because there are different types of insects, but you have to wait for ~150 to start seeing more than the two first types of ants.

Also, it would have been interesting to see some variations for the insects on a gameplay perspective. Right now only the amount of clicks and speed was changing, but you could have had insects walking in "wavy" patterns, "hopping", or laying eggs out of which other insects come out, etc... (Maybe there was latter on, but then I didn't stay long enough?...)

Also, as some other said, it was hard to hit insects walking behind the buttons. It could have been better to either put the buttons "above", or prevent insects and/or plants from appearing on the right side.

Otherwise well done, I hope you enjoyed participating!

Cute little Clicker Defense Game ;) It would help with playability when you would include hotkeys for the different tools.

The insect clicking wasn't that much fun for me. My hand still hurts from it.

I really liked the planting/watering aspect of the game though. Can't remember the last time I cared for something virtual as much as I cared for my beautiful succulents.
 Am I getting old?

If you added a pause functionality, I'd keep playing later, and if the pace of the game reeeealy went down, I can imagine having it run on the background, and check on the plants time to time.

I even might make a game like it for my own satisfaction. Anyway, great job, and thanks for this game.

Nice little game. As others have said, the difficulty ramp seems too slow. Personally, I would have liked some indicators as to when the next plant will spawn, how long until my water was refilled, etc. Also, some more variation in the insects behavior would have been nice. Overall, pretty good though!
