Super good game! Was difficult, I never did manage to play the victory card, but it was extremely unique and fit the theme well. Great job!!

Interesting! I love the feel of the first 7 days =). For most of the game, I felt like I didn't have any choices - it was just play every card I drew, there seemed to be very little point in discarding cards, since I'd already paid the cost (or my created ones did) to draw them, so it was just keep playing any card I can until I get to the next phase. End of the game was slightly more varied, in that I had my own side goal (as did another above, I see!) to end with 0 sin. I only had to sacrifice a couple cows and one puny human to get it.

Also, why opt out of Audio rating? Your audio is minimal, but fine, and, as far as I understand it, people who play and rate your game get slightly more credit for doing so if they rate more categories. Could also rate on humor, I could see some people being very amused by this game for all sorts of reasons =).

Thanks everyone for the comments

@jimbly The opt out was a mistake :grimacing:, just reactivated it and it appears I got some audio ratings. I must have opted out by accident at some point.

Good job on both concept and execution. Graphics look nice and it was fun to play.

Its extremely hard to balance mechanics on a game jam due to time constraints, but its a bit confusing about how to play optimally, but I suppose thats part of the fun!

really cool art and gameplay, the random cards make the game feel really flush and full of life

I miss an ending where everyone are striked by lightning :P. The graphics are really nice and gameplay is fun.
Would be cooler with music I'm sure, but the sounds you have are pretty good.

Great work!

Cool little game! I liked the graphics and how your humans would work for you. I started spamming cards to get to 100 sins and it didn't do anything when I reached it.

Really nice! The beginning was epic and fit very well with the theme. I like these types of games. The art style was consistent and you dont mix art styles which I like. I did not quite understand the sacrifice cards. Why do you use them? Otherwise real niceeee.

I really like the feel and the graphics. And it is fun to play. I do miss a little more decision making, but its hard to find time to do game balancing like that. Great Job. :)

This game was really interesting and fit the theme well. The intro sequence to build the beginning of the world was well done and it was satisfying to watch the humans and environment interact together.

I think a timer / how many days + sin it took to win could be a good way to give the game replayability. I ended up just waiting until I had 4 humans early so that it would maximize my resource gathering, but I might have played differently if there was an extra goal to win as fast as possible or with gathering as little sin as possible.

Overall, one of my favorites of the jam so far, great job!

This was a neat little game, like the nods to Biblical references and I like the overall pixel art aesthetic. There was enough sound going on overall that, while there was no music, felt like there was enough sound to not feel empty, which is good. The cards were a neat approach; I was confused on how to play at first, and despite not really looking at the instructions, had no trouble understanding the basics of what I had to do. When a game can just present itself and have the player go in with little to knowledge of how to play and be able to pick it up right away, I think it speaks to how well the game was executed. I was engaged by this game; it kept me interested long enough to keep playing and play the victory card. Well done. :)

Wow, for having made all that alone - props dude. I like the graphics, the idea with the sacrifices is neat. All in all very well balanced.

I would have loved to see more cards, but I guess that would have taken a lot more time.
