Recycler Shooter by thesnide
The world is tough. You have to gather scraps to transform them into ammos.
You start with nothing. No scraps, no ammo & no weapon.
The controls are simple: - Use arrows to move. - Use "C" to fire. - Use "X" to upgrade your weapon.
You can only upgrade if your ammo is in the top green (80+). And it will consume 80 ammo.
It is a PICO8 game, so I was able to achieve quite much in those 6h that I managed to secure from real life.
I didn't managed to include audio, nor a game over screen.

Post Compo update
I managed to spend another 3h sprint, and added scrap magnet, life management & spread fire.

Small things that didn't cost a lot of time:
I think you could have added a wrap around the x / y axis as I lost my ship trying to do that ^^
Its feels like the game is too slow, and when you kill an ennemy to get munitions, most of them go off screen so it becomes hard to upgrade because of that.
By attracting the munition to the player and making the game fast paced with less life, I think this game would be better.
I try to participate in all LD, even if I know that I only have 4-6 hours each run. I'm usually planning to do a post-compo enhancement, but real life quick in and then a new LD, that *forces* me to take those.
Also, I don't really mind, since that limited time enables me to think real MVP, and that's really valuable for my daily job also. So, it's kindof perfect, to me at least ;)
i wanted to do a thing like this , Pick munition every time ;)
Its polished but pad control will be a big improvement
