Ping Pong - A story-driven adventure.

The most engaging game of Pong I ever played!
The twist is something I did not anticipate.

You took the simple po g game and made something so engaging that I feel inspired to write a book, or clean my house, 10/10

Nice game

Simple in graphics but really fun to play, and nice story also, as the title says

The only complaint I have is that it was not as obvious that you can get out. I'm kinda tired from work and I just kept going past the players into the red for a while because I thought you would always respawn if you go past them.
After that though, I actually really loved it. The sound effects seemed a bit loud sometimes, but overall it even had a REALLY good delivery of the story, even if it was not much.

0/10, ball is buggy and went out of bounds, never got to finish my Pong game

In all seriousness, this was a pretty interesting game~ The story and challenges were pretty serviceable, but probably the moment that stuck with me was the part in the rain where our hero began to doubt himself. I paused, and I swore I felt, like, genuine sorrow or pity. For a Pong ball. Well done~

I was not expecting any of that. Such a turn of events at every part of the game. WOW! Good job.

Firstly I loved the concept, I wish I could say same thing about graphics. I don't know what is your plan for this game but I hope you keep going to develop it. Because at this stage just looks like draft.

This is a funny idea! I think I had a weird bug at the end, where my jump height felt frame-rate dependent, played on a pretty weak laptop, and I could barely jump up to the first ledge after getting out. Enjoyed the little escape attempt either way, but would have liked to see the end :)

@druvsaft is that a thing? darn I thought I had enough deltatime everywhere to disregard framerate for the most part... bit hard to test that on my machine, but I'll try to find a fix on the weekend...

That was great :grin: a fun mix of various challenges with a really interesting concept and fantastic mood! That bit with the colourful lights towards the end was incredible. Graphics are simple yet consistently well utilised and the audio really rounded it all off. Fantastic entry dude :thumbsup:

Yeah, this was really nice! My only complaint is the same as one of the anons above where for the first like, "yes" attempts to get out, I kept hitting the side and resetting, so I thought maybe I was doing it wrong. Turns out the ball just moves REAL fast :smiley: Really fun and I enjoyed the story you got going on here!

@druvsaft I added a bugfix release to my download page, from what I could test the physics should be more stable on lower framrates now, though the graphics got a bit more jittery in return which I'll have to see about when I have time. Anyhow, I do think it should be possible for you to get to the end now.

I mean I dont really know what to say man. This is just your standard pong experience man. I thought it would be something different but this just ended up playing like any other game of pong I've ever played....(P.S I loved it).

this is hilarious and awesome! i never expected this twist at all. im going to think of this game everytime i play pong now

the unique levels and play styles were also really cool! the only game ive seen so far that pulls it off

(and to think i almost passed up on this game because it didnt have an itchio page)

overall a really fun game. i wish it had an itchio page so i could add it to my favorites collection
