I wanted to challenge myself, and I did. I made a game where your pawns could gather resources and deposit them in a warehouse. But got nothing more done.

That's a solid foundation for a gathering or city building game :) I love the camera movement it's realy snappy. Great Job! Hope you had an enjoyable journey on the way of challenging yourself.

Wasn't totally clear what I needed to do, but I get that it's unfinished. A few things might make the difference if you decide to take it further though. Indicators on what you've selected and what you can collect, and a clear objective would be a good starting places.

Wow, amazing that you could get a 3D game out of the ground like that. As @tmullet said; I wasn't exactly sure what to do or how it all worked. I did find that Q and E rotate the camera and I was blown away by that.

I'm sure you can take this game a bit further in the JAM if you would want to. The art looks great enough for a simple game.

I found the low-poly aesthetic nice! Ran smoothly on my laptop. Would be nice to see a highlight or something around the character you have selected.

I can see it's not a finished game yet but I like the resource pile models. I think the trees are cool.

@fictions - The camera was a challenge right up until the bitter end. I'm glad I got there and I'm happy with it. Thanks for playing

@tmullet - Thanks for playing, yeah I guess I could have been more verbose in the explanation at the start. Glad you got the "bring it to the stockpile' bit :)

@bjeaurn - unfortunately I've to get back to work so I can't dedicate that extra day. I would have loved a chance to build a selector​, even just a shader to change the selected unit but I never got the time. My character model (in the source files) had issues with being transparent and mismanaged my time a lot with that.

@geoff-nagy Thanks for your input. I never got around to testing it on Linux​ or Windows, just webGL (which I wasn't happy with), and os x so I'm glad the packages worked for you. I wanted to get simple but quickly recognisable​ models made and as I said to @bjeaurn the main character ate way too much into my timeline. Felt a bit like "I'm so close, just two more minutes!" for about 3 hours. - I learned a lot about time management.

Damn this looks like a challenge! The effort is definitely there. I love the models you created and the overall feeling is nice. With a bit more time I think this'll be epic. Nice work!

Addictive game. What is missing is just switching between units and some kind of animation of their actions.

@iantyf - It was a fun project to work on. I think it could be fleshed out. I might look into it in a day or two after recovery. :stuck_out_tongue:

@odeyalko - Thank you for your kind words. I was hoping to get a character modelled and a selector made in the time but it wasn't on my side. With an extra day I might have chanced basic animations.

Congrats on submitting! I liked the models. 3D isn't easy, but you did a good job. I would've liked to have some sort of visual indicator to tell me which unit I had selected. Progress bar indicators on the resources as they were being gathered would be great too. Alas, a weekend is too short a time to get all the features we want into our games! Nice work!

It took me a while to realize that i could move the camera, and i had to refresh the page to re-read the text about gathering resources. I think it is cool that you where challenging yourself, my recommendation is that, whenever you do a jam by yourself, try to think small. Do a mini-game, that can be played in a few minutes, and of course, never stop developing. In a few jams, you will start to, little by little, get the hang of it, and the quality of your games will always increase. I say that because this is what i feel that is happening to me, little by little, i'm evolving in my jams. Also, always get a nice rest, or else, it will be worst than you imagine.
When you are well rested, you will work not just faster, but also, better, and more relaxed.

I know that, when you have too overscoped idea for jam, and just need more time to code it. Quess that many participants fail while making kind of survival game. Just like me :smile:
