made by Adam Konig for Ludum Dare 45 (COMPO)

Save the beavers!

Build dams to get your Beaver friends to safety from the jaggedy rocks! But you're a Beaver.. how hard can that be? ... is that a bomb heading down stream--

_ I recommend using the itch.io links to play NOT webGL as the downloaded file renders the graphics better! _

Please let me know if a certain build isn't working in the comments! Thanks for playing!!

Really enjoyed to save beavers :)
The bomb and beaver generator must be balanced, as I had not beavers for the first 10 pops.
It is hard to put a board on the edge next to another board.

Controls are not responsive, pressing M works like from 5th try

@tacokhun thanks for the feedback! Spent hours trying to get it to work using raycasts, physics spheres, etc. this was the best that came from that

It's kinda slow but at least it works pretty well. Also, it may just be my luck but it took forever to get any bombs. Maybe that's why it felt slow-paced at first

Well done! I like the style and movement, I especially appreciated the tutorial. The beginning is a little slow but good work.

Really liked the low poly models! I had a lot of issues with the controls though, almost every time I pressed 'M' to pickup a bridge piece it would pick it up and put it back down instantly. When I did eventually pick it up I would have the same issue trying to put it somewhere. I also enjoyed the music. Nice entry!

nice water modelling with boats etc. But the screen is kinda small and it's difficult to see what is happening. Maybe scale the window to a little bit larger.

really nicely done! If I had to change anything, I'd make it so that you don't lose after missing just one beaver. Maybe after losing a couple or maybe just have it keep track of score. Either way great work on the models and particle effects and everything, looks great.

Love the graphics, couldn't hear any music because I can't use my headphones right now lol

@tero-pulkkinen Thanks for the feedback! Was the fullscreen button not working? Also if you download the file instead of playing the webGL you can choose your window size

That music is going to be stuck in my head for a while! Cute low-poly graphics. Different strategies to try for saving the beavers. In all, a cool concept, well executed, and some fun to play! Good job!

Fun little game but I was having some difficulty picking up and dropping pallets. If this was improved I would have enjoyed the gameplay a lot more!

Cute and kinda fun.. I had toruble since i think i am hard-wired to expect the WASD to be relative to the player's local rotation, not global rotation. Also the M key seemed to be hard to grab. Overall a nice entry though!

Cool game, controls well. Was really worried about my beavers when there was no path for them and a bomb came along! Difficulty ramps up nice, love the 3d, catchy music, and really like the beaver voices. Nice job!

That was fun! I had issues getting pallets to release where I anted them or sometimes at all and the beaver that finally hit the rocks just jumped off a pallet and committed suicide, lol. Nice job.

Controls felt really good. I did find it very easy though once I had 2 full bridges across and only had to manage the bombs. Would have been better if they came faster. Anyways great job on the game.

Great idea, I really like the design of this game! The actual execution needs a bit more work, it's not always responsive for me and it can be hard to place blocks but totally understandable given the time limit haha. Quite polished too, the music is pleasant, funny sound effects, and everything looks cute. And the tutorial was very well done, didn't feel overbearing but got all the important points across. Good job!

The sound is amazing :D Very catchy! The idea to make a game with beavers is very creative! I haven't seen that before, but that makes it standing out. Overall very good game. Thank you!

Fun puzzle game. Found it difficult to pick up and place the wood blocks. Sometimes it was hard to squeeze in that last block in a bridge. Apart from that, great implementation :) Well done!

Loved this idea. Everything is executed on a very professional level. Though the game did feel a little dragged out, but fun anyway
