Same here link isn't working. Make sure the link is set to public if it's working for you. Don't know much about itch.io but I've gone through a ton of games that had this issue :)
Edit: Link works now. Its a fun game.. very random :P

@black-flag I can play! The resolution of the window is messed up on the site but fullscreen fixes it. I love that you (or whoever) voice acted, I'm not sure if it broke or you could only get so much in but it really added to the game! The Portal 2-esque idea you have is great and you've already started building on it. I noticed a lot of problems with general Unity physics stuff and jumping like sticking to walls and such but this is a pretty good start to something.

The web link works for me! (Logged into Itch, dunno if that matters). Peaceful game, enjoyable atmosphere and voice. Was not able to see the palette until I found the full-screen, so in the beginning everything was purple. Had some issues getting hang of the movement, and pushed out two yellow boxes, but made it to see the end text. Particularly liked the transitions with color and music and nature. Would love to see an updated version of this in the future :)

This is really cool! It reminds me a bit of De Blob, with the painting the world. I love the atmosphere created by the music and text in the world. If you had time to slowly layer the music up as you got further instead of just cutting in, it could feel even better.

By using fancy shaders, you could have the paint effect spread out over time. I don't know exactly how to do it, but I remember seeing someone do a cool tutorial that had a shader effect spread out from a point.

Also, for a 3D platformer you could benefit from having the shadow of the player directly under the player. Check out Mario Odyssey, where other characters will have shadows at an angle, but Mario has a shadow that is always directly below him.

I kept missing jumps because my shadow was in front of me, so I couldn't line things up. You'd want to do some kind of double light setup, one for most the scene and another for just the players shadow.

(Also, I cheesed the gates by making the floor green and then jumping round the outside of them)

Enjoyed this one, great job!

Thanks for letting me know the link was working. I'm glad I got to play your entry. I really like the concept, but the jumping wasn't always reliable and you can stick to walls ( I had the same issue in a previous entry when trying to do a platformer in unity ).

This is a clever idea that adopts the theme very well! I was also reminded of Epic Mickey! The platforming mechanics could be better, but all in all, I think this is a solid entry!

OMG i really like this concept! But it's pretty easy if you paint everything with green.
And also I find out by myself that there is no full-screen I cant see all color options, I was almost giving up when I realized ...
Anyway, I loved the game, congratulations!

This game could absolutely use a shadow directly under the player, it's a bit hard to tell where you are in 3D space in relation to the platforms you want to land on. Other than that, i loved the mechanics. Well done!

The link works fine now. I did play this game. It seems a bit difficult to understand but the graphics looks cool and the player movement feels great.

I think that there is a pretty compelling idea here but the execution leaves some want. I wasn't able to complete the game because after a minute or two it would completely lock me out jumping or moving. Plus on some play throughs I just started floating and was able to skip large parts of the game just by flying over them. Apart from the bugs, I also found that the input was a little over-sentitive and I had trouble telling exactly where my character was. I think that maybe the over-sensitive controls could be turned into a feature, making the red color useful for landing on a platform. Although maybe momentum could also serve this purpose without being quite as frustrating to the player. But there really needs to be some way to provide spatial awareness to the player. A shadow directly under the player could be one way, but some more landmarks to provide parallax would also help. I noticed that I had an easier time locating myself relative to my surroundings when the trees and bears started showing up. I get that the blank slate at the beginning is important to the theme and is a part of the game's narrative, it just makes it a little hard to have a sense of location. The last suggestion I have is some visual indication of what color is currently selected and a way to select colors and maybe color platforms with the keyboard.

I feel like this might come off as pretty critical, but I do like the game, especially for something made in 72 hrs, and I think with some improvements and some more time it can be a really solid game. I wouldn't have typed up this much if I thought the game was bad.

Depth perception was really difficult and made some sections harder than they could have been. Not being able to move after leaving the red floor was also a bit weird and not intuitive. Nice job.

Really clever idea, and I liked the build up. But the controls felt inconsistent (I kept short-jumping when I wanted to long jump, or sticking to platforms on the side). Good use of theme!

The concept of painting platforms to have different properties is a cool idea.

The platforming of this game is a serious issue. The game desperately need a vertical shadow, or or some way to tell what hight you're at.

Even bigger is the issue that the game is riddled with bugs that make it difficult to play. We ran into many of these on stream. It was very unfortunate because we were not able to continue playing the game. We thought it was a real shame, we thought the game was interesting, and wanted to play more of it.
