made by PROJECTaroid for Ludum Dare 45 (JAM)

I used the Ludum Dare 45 Game Jam to experiment with Unity's Animator and some audio management systems. The game is a simple text and audio experience.

I really liked the song and while the idea is pretty barebones, it's well executed and I could imagine it could lead to some cool design ideas!

This is atmospheric, it's an art piece that belongs in a gallery! :D Needs jumpscares on too many incorrect letters. ;)

Hey this is a really clever game! I had absolutely no idea what was going on at the start and I almost gave up but once you get what it's about it gets very interesting. Nice music choice, really adds to the mood. Probably the most innovative entry I've played!

Took me some time to get what I needed to do, but at the end it was worth it. Definitively a very good idea, and a good experience. Loved the music and the effect.

Interesting game, nice music (but kinda too loud), took me a second to understand, but it was a nice concept

It's very simple and fast, but as I understand you just tried some things in this piece and everything works as it should. I really like the music! It seems to me that there's no gameplay, but I hope it will help in your future projects!

I like the music a lot, I took me a while to understand the rules, but its very stylish especially with so little things used. NICE!

Thanks @scott-redrup @asue @captain-nakou @ijzm and @2-odd-diodes for the constructive feedback. I realized the issue with understanding the game mechanic late in the Game Jam but didn't have time to address that issue. I will address the issue when the Game Jam is officially over and upload a new build. Thanks again.

Sorry but I just didn't get it :(

@techsec I plan to make another version with clearer instructions after the Jam officially ends. I will add some text in game that explains that its a word game like hangman and give a hint to hold the letter 'n' for a few seconds to get the player started on the first word. Sorry the game mechanics were not very clear.

Interesting concept. Took a while to figure out what to do, even after reading the hold 'n' hint.
I realised you can just tap all the keys a few times to rule them out making it trivial. This was before I figured out what I was supposed to be doing.

@someone thanks for letting me know about the 'tap all the keys' exploit. I plan to update the build with better instructions following the jam. Thanks for playing.

@zsolt Thanks for the comment and for playing. The buzz at the beginning is a guitar amp. I plan to update the game following the Game Jam and will find something less annoying for the beginning of the game.

Love the way it builds up as you progress, took a bit to figure out the first one but went smoothly afterwards. Would love to see the idea expanded.
