Stolen Goods by DrRozza
Snoop around the house and steal all the items you have on your list! But be careful, the more you steal the slower you become, so snoop tactically and more importantly DON'T GET CAUGHT!
Tip: Use the walls and plants to hide from the line of sight!
Controls: - Left mouse click to move. - Right mouse click to steal.
This game was meant to be for the Compo but I failed to create it on time so I submitted it as part of the Jam instead.

Pretty alright stuff here. The click-to-move felt a little weird and collision had some issues, ex. walking into the dining room from the kitchen but my head is bumping into the bottom of the wall. Otherwise not much trouble gettin in there and swiping some loot.
Sorry to hear you didn't make compo. Hope it wasn't too much of a disappointment. Maybe it'll work out on the next one.
Cheers. :v:
(1) the robber guy was hard to control because he collided with everything. i dont think his head should collide with the walls, and his feet should not collide with the top of a plant
(2) he moved annoyingly slow but i understand that was for gameplay reasons
(3) the music was really sneaky i loved it
(4) it was really easy to find the items, just getting them all was really hard
(5) the home owners could see you just outside of their range
(6) itd be cool if there were places to hide
(7) the art style made visual communication much easier
overall really cool game just has a few implementation details that could be addressed to make it even more fun
Interesting choices you made for controls, and I love the art! Very impressive for just one person. Well done!
* nice difficulty
* the movement speed malus makes getting the last item suprisingly tense
* very readable graphics
Some things that I think would make the game more enjoyable:
* use path finding on the player character to prevent him from getting stuck on everything (and have him walking around corners with one input etc.)
* have some way to indicate which part of the line-of-sight of the pursuers is blocked would be nice to make the route more plannable
* collect items with LMB instead of RMB to make it work on mobile
* **more levels please** :wink:
