Your job as a Knocker-Upper - or if you prefer, human alarm clock - is to wake up industrial workers to prevent them from arriving late at the factory.

Using your mouse, shoot peas at workers' windows using your pea shooter.
Left click: Shoot peas
Right click: Speed up cart
Scroll wheel: Zoom

I wish there were a lose condition though. That would have captivated me longer, I think.
The atmosphere of the game is immediately shoved on your face when it starts (that's a good thing).
The music and art style really works.
You could add some more audio response if you wake someone up or you could even anger them if you shoot at their window too much.
It's unique and fun, would definitely love see it being polished. Great work!
The gameplay is simple, but it gets hard quickly.
Minor technical issue that I found: the mouse gets completely off if you go out of the game when using the web player.
As others have said it can get a bit repetitive so maybe some variation as to what's in the windows. Also you should maybe get punished a bit for spamming your shooter, either by losing points for hitting the wrong thing, or maybe by having a limited supply of ammo.
The zoom didn't work with me :/
One thing that would be cool is if you get money for everyday on the job (subtracting out the peas used and employees missed) and then get cool upgrades and addons. Excellent work!!Super jealous!
Feels a little like Paperboy in the way you're doing a job that is rated daily. I liked this! well done!
Very fun to start off with but got repetitive fairly quickly.
At first it was hard to see the result, did I woke him up or not due to way it's shown - only symbol change, maybe some additional effect would help to indicate it better. Also on first levels I thought that one shot would work but it seems you need to shoot couple of times or maybe it was my bad aim, so not sure about it.
My only suggestion is to make clear indication of actions in the game it'll make it easier to see results of your actions.
Good job!
I'm all for that deco'ish trapping, bummer the buildings were so square. Solid presentation, it's just, kinda boring to play.

I have libxcursor and libxcursor-dev installed.
Starting your game I noticed that the menu buttons' click areas were above the graphics, meaning I had to click above the buttons to click them.
The game feels a little empty, there is not much to it and it provides no challenge. It feels to me like there is no incentive to doing what you do. You have infinite ammo for your knocking gun (by the way - why not knocking with your fist?) and in the end it seems to not matter how many people you woke up.
The graphics were OK, though the Zs and musical notes are not directly recognizable. You don't know when you woke someone up instantly, maybe a different color for the notes would have been helpful.
There is not sound (at least for me) which is pretty bad, a knocking sound when you wake somebody up would have been the perfect feedback for you to know that you can aim for another window.
