Cave by Team-on

Cave is survival game. Also it should be RPG with battle system like in DS(e.g. different movesets for weapons and rolls), but I havent time to code it.
Your are playing a dwarf who [insert some lore before publishing]...

Instructions (Download)
Available in Windows, OSX, and Linux. If you encounter any problem, please leave a comment!
Controls:
- WASD or LMB(Left Mouse Button) for moving
- I to open inventory
- 1-5 choose item in hotbar
- Mouse over item & click on it to pick up it. Dwarf will be automatically move to it.

Fixes in post-jam version
- Fix Sprite Order bug
- Outline only for 1 object
- Spam with LMB no more broke animations
- Fix some edge cases for inventory drag
- Make inputs more responsivle
- Remove axe from hands on start
- Dont interact objects under UI
- Pick up items directly to hotbar
- Couple of bugs with outlined objects

It would be good to use the mouse to select an item on the the quick bar, as everything else can be mouse controlled.
Also perhaps holding the mouse button to hit continually would be better. Too much clicking involved.
I like that you included a dev log with the credits.
Although I'm not exactly an expert artist, one thing I always recommend is to never ever combine multiple resolutions of pixel art. It almost always looks a little off. It might be acceptable when it's different between the game and the UI but aside from that I think it's generally a mistake.
I liked the 2D graphics and animations. When the character moves, the item they hold also swings naturally.
Inventory system also seems promising, but currently, it lacks a few features and has some bugs.
* Sometimes I have to press multiple times to change the active slot
* It would be nice to drop items when you drag them outside the inventory UI
* When you hover an item and let's say a tree is under the mouse it is highlighted with yellow, which looks confusing (see screenshot below)

Also, I managed to get out of the map and go to the dark nothingness :sweat_smile:

* Lots of typos, both here on the site and ingame
* If you keep clicking on the resources, you keep hitting it forever. It only gets destroyed if you stop clicking
* If you keep walking upwards you get out of the map into the blackness lol
* I was very confused to what to do with the resources that I collected and if I could interact with the mouthed box
