Incredibly unique idea, and awesome that you managed to get the networking done over the jam! Not sure about some of the connections other people (and myself) were making, but I guess validation and checkig wasn't the first thing on your minds whilst making this

Unfortunately this game doesn't work for me! Can't get past the username screen, Create User button does nothing

@ben657 thanks for creating! the validation is a problem, but we trust in the game community to behave theirselves :D
@congusbongus can you please check if your browser says "http://gamejolt...." and not "https://" if this problem still exists could you check the console in your browser (F12) and see if there are errors?

Neat idea. I like the crowdsourced content and ownership of discoveries. I wish that the icon painter started out with a transparent background. Overall, cool concept. Congrats on the submission!

Love the idea, very innovative. Not sure about the voting on every element part. Overall fun. Good job

@tohubohu thanks for the feedback! we should definitely do this, but you can make a background transparent (with the rubber), but needs a lot of time, i know :D
and thanks for playing!

I played lot of similir games(alchemy etc) :D I love these type of games. But please don't ask as to confim eery element. I give up after few elements because of that pop up.

But good entry. Good luck

@baski thanks for the feedback! we wanted to give the player a reason to play (not only discovering elements) but also drawing good and making good connections, that's why we ask for a rating for every undiscovered connection.
The confirming exists, because we want to allow players to override bad connections/elements but once it's confirmed the next players will get asked to rate that connection

Awesome idea! I'm really impressed with the database integration, considering this has been done in a couple of days. However, it is a bit annoying to confirm every connection or being forced to create an element when you try a connection that hasn't been done before. Other than that, really cool game!

This one is really fun! Love discovering and "creating" new elements. The DB seems to be working well. Everything is really polished.

It is too bad that I was already familiar with that concept and have seen it mulitplayer based already because the whole excitement went away like that but I still like it very much especially that you are able to draw your own pictures for the elements. It adds a unique flavour to it.

@tomfu could you name us the game? we are interested in seeing their approach as well, we didn't know that, we thought it's something new :( but anyway thanks for your feedback, our goal was to give the user as much personalization options as possible!

Personally, I've never seen a game like this and I find it quite unique and enjoyable. The multiplayer aspect is really cool as well. The interface is very intuitive, no issues. Not sure if I missed them, but I would like to see some additional drawing tools added if you plan to keep working on this game. I also enjoyed the jokes at the bottom of the screen.

I really loved that one mobile game in which you start with the 4 elements and you just drag'n'drop them on eachother and you make over 100 different materials, items and other stuff with it. This is just like it, but better. I really love the idea that you can just combine whatever you want and add it to the game, but at the same time I would like a cancel button because if I just force myself to find more combinations, I have to create new things which I don't even know what it should be. But except for that, it is a super cool game and love to spend time to find new stuff and create new stuff in it.

Not only is the concept cool, the execution was also cool, the only problem was a general lack of polish

I made an element called poopoo peepee

Well, I think that gameplay-wise, it's pretty similar to "Little Alchemy," but the part where it is unique is with the ability to not only create new elements, but to have them shared through multiplayer. It adds an extra layer of excitement (and perhaps mischief), and it serves as a great way to populate your game with fresh-content, as it is constantly changing. As mentioned above, I think the one thing lacking was polish, which you could further use to push for a little cool artstyle.

Neat game. Not original, though. Blatanly copies off of another game called "Elemental" check it out: http://htwins.net/carelics/Elemental.html

@sheepdog123 we know that the core mechanic isn't original, but we've never seen a multiplayer version of it, ELemental isn't multiplayer right?

I think I've played this game the longest. And is it a game? Crazy electronic catalog of substances. For some reason, the process itself is so fun. And yes, idea is absolutely unique.

@spiced-pigeon Elemental is multiplayer, with players making new elements for others to explore..

@sheepdog123 the website you linked shows a fixed number of elements.
"There are 65 elements to get. I was planning on having thousands, but like I said, this is unfinished. Perhaps I could add more in the future. "
I saw that you can recommend new elements in a form for version 2, but its not really built in the game, is it?

I'm using the latest version of Google Chrome and all I get is an error message saying "Your browser does not support any of the required graphics API for this content." Is there a downloadable version? Do I have to download a whole other browser just to play this?

@f1krazy I had similar problems a few day ago (on other games), they vanished after I restarted the computer. This runs fine on chrome for me :)

do you have any extensions in chrome? or some custom settings?

What a great idea. Make use of user created content is an excellent idea for this kind of game, and creates an interesting dynamic by releasing it in a jam like this. Very cool and interesting.

I **literally** spend 3 hours playing this game and i got the implosion (3rd rarest item)
and this is the best game i have played here so far, i have no idea how this time passed so fast but i had a blast creating all of new objects, although i myself only created like 3 original objects - it was fun anyways i love this game! i am excited to see if any of my objects will get "accepted" and its a really REALLY original idea, i hope you keep on working on this game maybe in the future and keep on doing awesome games!

I'm really impressed
You have successfully made a game online in such a short time
It's too rare during the ludum dare

and more the concept of gameplay fit perfectly with the theme

With an improvement of the interface I will return plays with pleasure

I must say that I was pretty lost at first, I did not know what to do at all! But in the end, I started mixing and testing everything. We discover new things, it's interesting to do the design by myself and to give a name too ! The idea is unique because I had not seen before, before your game. Congratulations! :D
