Story

In the beginning there was nothing. But then there was a light. A very precious light. Can you defend the light that creates the universe? How many waves of enemies can you survive? How many stars can be born before the light fades away.

How to play

Protect your light from the evil. Aim and shoot with the mouse. The further away you can destroy the enemies the more points you will get. You will get an extra life every 5000 points. But watch out that you won't run out of missiles! Post your high score and wave number here - let's see who is the champion!

Really cool, I thought the gameplay is quite sophisticated due to how much prediction you have to do to succeed. A really nice arcade game with good music to boot. Would have been cool to have some sound effects, and some way for there to be less reliance on the projectile-enemy distance prediction side of the game, not sure how you might do that. Maybe some type of missile that allows you to detonate manually? Thanks for this great submission

It has some really cool visual effects. The idea of having missile explode right at where you aimed surely increase the difficulty and fun of the game. Would be better if there are more feedback when hitting enemies, such as SFX and screen shake.

I liked it. It was a weirdly relaxing arcade game. As other people have said the prediction element adds a nice bit of challenge and I like how you motivate risky shots with more points.

if you press yourself when the enemies are too tight, you don’t have to die.

@rollersteaam Yeah we have planned some sweet special weapons like megabombs and guided missiles but this had to be sacrificed to get the game done on time.

@keith-wang We were thinking about sound effects but then decided not to overload it with sound and just let you enjoy the music :)

The dev highscore lies somewhere by wave 15 and 27000ish points. Anyone can beat that?

I felt back in early '90. I almost heard my mother calling me for lunch.

This was mesmerizing. Beautiful graphics, and a more interesting gameplay than i thought ! It gets a bit repetitive though around wave 10, once you discovered all the (very interesting) ennemies. Also I don't really gets how it fits the theme, besides the fact that at the begining there are no other stars.
But it was a very solid experience nonetheless.

It was all laughs until you get all the different ennemies at the same time >:( ! I loved it. Graphics are cool, music is cool, enemies are interesting. Challenging game!

Fun dead reckoning type game play. One of the best I've played so far!

Graphics are nice, audio is really good, but gameplay itself got pretty boring after 7 waves, maybe if there where some kind of upgrade to your light it would be more intersting... like Hold the button to shot like shot gun, increased firerate, boomerang missiles when killing more than 1 enemy, 2nd explosion on enemy kill etc.

overall great work : )

This brings back nostalgia. Everything is good in this game, music adds more atmosphere. I had some trouble hitting the target, so I died often. But I enjoyed it.

That was a lot of fun!! awesome music and visuals. that zig zag enemy took like 15 shots to hit. i would be a terrible star

This game has nice curves :D I git to wave 8. Orbiting ball was too much for me.

I had fun throwing light granades, changing tactics few times. first i started as sniper, but it didn't work well. then I went for full auto but I was missing ammo. Best strategy for me was to shot 2-3 in short span and one of those should hit ;)

Great game and easy to start with short explanation in the game. Good job!

It felt boring after some time and yet I had a feeling I have to play further to have higher score. And maybe 46000 was just too much and you didn't predict someone will like your game this much... By the way - can yellow stars which omit our stars be destroyed?

I think I don't have to say that is great game

@cornel I am glad you had fun, despite felt bored after a while. 46000 is an amazing score!! The yellow stars are the toughest ones. Yes you can kill them, but you must shoot very precise or shoot more stars at it.

@ryzy27 Yeah the orbiting balls are a big threat. Kill them quickly!

@all Thank you for your amazing feedback. It means a lot to us!

@cornel What? 46000? I'm wondering which wave youhave made. My personal best is 37000 and wave 17. Still never got the yellow enemies (but I know that shadow30 have built them :) And I agree - once you start play for the highscore it becomes addicting and you need to play more strategic. Too bad there was no time to build a highscore table

@ryzy27 the trick is to shoot the orbiting satellites when they are approaching the orbit and are slower and more predictable

Thank you all for the nice feedback, we're glad you've liked the game

Funny game. It is fun to play it, but this game provokes feelings for a short time, unfortunately, because it does not carry anything revolutionary.

Oh man I loved how your intro is. Did you try to mimic the Big Bang? :P
and Btw, your particle system was on point. maybe do a tutorial about it sometime for us to learn this cool effect too? :) Overall, it was so calm the music made my bp go from 140 to 100 i can say! :D

@karanveer Thank you for your feedback. Yeah this game is about the creation of the universe. Your little star creates many stars, one for each "missile" you have left after a wave. Look at the background and how you fill it with stars.

Yeah of course, we will post something about our simple particle system, probably the source code too.

The Music was great. It kept me from quitting early, so I played until wave 12 :)

I like the different movement patterns of the enemies. The orange ones and the ones spiraling in were really challenging.
