MLHA

„a thick cloud of tiny water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth's surface that obscures or restricts visibility„

MLHA is an alternative walking simulator. The form is based on urban exploration. Illustrations were based on real places.

The whole project is a result of cooperation between a group of students from Ateliér Duchů (Herní Média) Faculty of Fine Arts - University of technology, Brno, Czech Republic.

Visual solution of the game was united through stylization. The look of the textures was achieved due to use of digitalized materials made by classic techniques. The visual impact of the environment is very complex due to the combination of abstract forms and concrete situations. The atmosphere is supported by the use of original field recording and sound design. The unique aesthetics of the game world is a product of combining the talents and qualities of various artists.

The game looks beatuiful. Congrats to all art students :D

The moving by scrolling is also cool concept and the music and environmental sounds provide a great (and spooky) atmosphere.

For a showcase it is pretty good.

Stunning visuals, really neat experience! Scrolling is an under-explored control mechanism for sure.

It's not a game, it's a... visual experience. I would call it that. Style is very unique and mood is just amazing. I can't rate it as a game... but I will as a virtual piece of art.

Fantastic visual style, and audio to make a great mood. Interesting interaction to use scroll as move, it had a very tactile feeling but I do think that, at least with my scroll settings that the animations/transitions were a little too short and the fading in of things too abrupt for the general feeling of the game. I had to carefully scroll myself forward and I still felt that many things happened too suddenly compared to what I think they wanted to happen.
