Awesome game! Really cool, love the attack system just wish I could turn! Don't know if it's me that sucks, but it's a pretty hard game!

I really like the upgrades! Each level-up feels weighty. However, I wish that I could save up an upgrade for later, instead of it appearing during battle, especially because space (jump) seems to also select an upgrade.

As others have mentioned, not being able to turn limits your engagement options in an unpleasant way. In addition, I wish that enemies would flinch or react somehow to being hit; sometimes, it's hard to tell if you've made contact with an enemy.

I love that you can deflect bullets with your shuriken, it's a nice touch and makes you feel like a ninja :D

It is a pretty fun game, but really hard. I found that I died most to not being able to tell where I was exactly. I found the upgrading nice, but hard to use because I need to move my hand from J, over to the mouse to select the upgrade I wanted. Also, when you jump it just auto selects one for you.

Controls are not exactly friendly. After few tries I found out that next enter press will switch me to a better view (I've actually played for a while still in the close view that's set on dying ninja...). Popping upgrades while the game runs is quite annoying. Inability to change the direction of attack means that some of the enemies are almost impossible to hit (melee guy on the third building for example)

@chaosed0 Thanks for the informative feedback! We'll definitely try and emphasize enemy feedback more in our later projects.

SLICE THEM ALL!!! The end roof is madness haha quite so satisfying! Only regret how punishing falling off the edge is, especially considering how hard it is to jump in 3d - even though the fixed camera was placed the best way it could have been I think! Very nice entry, congrats!

@mechwarrior99 You pretty much touched everything we thought of in how we could better our game. Thanks for playing The Ninja Chronicles!

@blint6 Lol we're glad you had fun with our game. Maybe we could've altered the y offset a bit more for the camera so that the jumps are less frustrating.

Congratulations on the game. It had only one roof which I could not find a way to reach the enemies. ^^

Hi! Loved the upgrade system - was really fun to have powerful ninja stars that would pierce through enemies! The Ninja Stars in general were really fun - just something really satisfying about throwing them out there.

At first I wasn't sure about the enemies on yellow platforms that I couldn't hit, but then I ended up really liking their inclusion, it added a fun challenge.

One small frustration I had a couple of times was when some of the ninjas on the next platform would notice me early and come right to the edge of the platform. Since you can only face forward I had no way to deal with them except passing them.

I really enjoyed this - it was lots of fun and very satisfying!

@zoarfy Our current solution to deal with enemies that are behind the player (them being untargetable) is to have the player move up a bit while the enemy pursues you, then jump back and over the enemy so that the player can hit the enemies again. However, this is just a band aid slapped on to the problem and we definitely should've balanced out the awareness of the enemies better so that these edge cases don't happen.

Regardless, we're glad you enjoyed the game still and thanks for the informative feedback zoarfy!

I enjoyed it! But I felt unfair that you can lose by touching the ground. There was no warning signs for it, so I felt a bit frustrated.

But this is a pretty good entry! Congrats!

This was really fun! I played with my friends, and we had some trouble judging the depth, due to the camera angle. It would be nice if shadows went straight down so that you could clearly see what you were over. We really enjoyed it, but it was a bit too tough for us to properly reach the end (however we did manage to get there by ignoring everyone, which was pretty chaotic!)
