Here's what I think could be improved:
- I think it would be better if the pickups were in another color. As it is now they are hard to find in a crowded scene
- This may be a bit too much, but I think it would go a long way to change the format of the arena and give some of the enemies different attacks so the player has to vary their strategy. Right now it seems like the best strategy is to just keep in the edges of the map always
I might add more arena's in the future. Maybe different stages with waves that can be cleared.
- Slow down the enemy spawn rates slightly: a lot of the time there is way too many on screen and you can get trapped in a corner
- Make the extra enemy types + chests appear sooner. At first I thought there was only 3 types of enemy, and it would be a shame for people to not see those great animations
Great gameplay! Felt like a slightly easier version of a classic twin-stick shooter. I really like how that facing mechanic works.
My only complaint would be that the tutorial text is hard to grasp before you've seen the game. I'd move that all into the first scene.

It's amazing to see what you can achieve with 1 small game mechanic, good stuff!
