The plot

In A.N.D.Y.R.U.S.exe you play as an engineer, that is trying to defeat a virus. Many things can happen: your friend can die, your computer can crash and many more! The virus just wants you to answer a quiz, that gets harder and harder every day. He has a plan. A big plan.

Great Job! This is a very fun game, although it needs more sounds. Keep up the good work!

Cool Game, I liked the background story and the possibility of different endings!

A few suggestions:
* I would have liked to see all endings but it is too tedious to play through the first days every time.
* I would have preferred the commands to be lowercase.
* Sometimes I had to hit enter a few times for the command to submit, because it was doing something else like marking the whole text.

I did play for the first 3 or 4 days with A.N.D.Y.R.U.S I think, but I have to say I quit because it seems that there was no ending at all. I know there must be one, but it was waaaaaaaay too long honestly. The calculations thing was fun, the fact that you have to walk backward and forward each day is great, gives a nice repetition feeling, however I did not understand the story at all... Too many texts, the story seemed fuzzy, and once I was in the game I felt like I missed something. Also there's no sound, the commands do not really look like commands, so I did not get caught into your game this much.

There's a good idea in it, but I don't especially like the execution, though it is only my personal opinion ! Keep up the good work !

That's interesting!

I like the mood of walking in the darkness. I wish there was some kind of music, because it played only a few times :slight_frown:

The calculation part reminds me how I was learning a long time ago, that was fun :smiley:

There's some space for improvements, but overall good job!

Very interesting and fun, it gave me some creepy vibes when i walked up to my computer, who knows... Maybe there was a dead body or a BOMB! Overall great entry!

Very original concept! It has one of the best moods in any game jam I experienced. I think though that if there was a little more interactivity, some more things changed it would make the game alot better. Right now it feels a bit unresponsive and players will probably quit early.

Played for several days till the vacation ending. Then read about seven days in total and other endings. Began my second session, but the game stuck at day 3 (?) at the word *sadly.* Well, I don't want to play through the first few days again.
But the first try felt nice, there was serious tension and I thought about a way to solve the problem, the atmosphere is nice!

Good mood, but I didn't understand it at all. I spent several minutes into solve the operations and then I dead xD Canvas is not well setted in itch.io, so a half of the text box is hidden. You must use 640px of height (600 of your game + 40 of bottom options).

Hey, interesting game there. Though I've found it slow to start off and felt like audio coulda really helped the immersion. Also, I love when these kind of games react to absurd behaviors, which I didn't see in the first days. Cheers :)

@lovetocode999 Yeah, I know. I just didn't have any ideas.

@boris My last game was compared to doki doki literature club and now pony island. Nice!

@jeremia First suggestion: I will probably implement a GOD MODE that is unlocked, by completing one ending. I had a script, that helped me skip days and do other stuff, so it would be easy to implement it and it would make the game better. Second suggestion: No. Third suggestion: I know. I have no idea how to fix it. People are saying to make the input field, but it triggers, when you click on something else.

@saering I want to add a text before every cut scene that says "Day 1\7". Thanks for suggesting.

@noobexception I know. I just didn't have any idea.

@falak Thanks!

@centauri No, the PC just had an empty placeholder sprites that represent computer components XD.

@leinades I know. Every game needs SPICE!!!!!

@tangiblegames Sorry to hear this. On day 3 I patched a bug, that if you hit the invisible YES or NO button, the game froze.

@neowedge I want to make a public google docs document, for people that want to get the bunker ending (aka. the good ending kinda). Sorry, to hear the resolution was broken.

@ursagames K.

@hugzfnr Again, I didn't have any idea for the music. Also thanks!

I played it until the end waiting for something but at the end it's "just" calculation where I don't no if the answers matter, because at the end I always answer 5 because I was lazy to make the calculation.
So it could have been something but this miss something.
The transition between the machine and the end of the hall doesn't bring something to the game and is quite lam.

So if the "quiz" would have be more interesting with less calculation and more dialogue with A.N.D.Y.R.U.S

Thank you for joining my stream and submitting your game there! It's a really interesting entry, I am glad that I managed to remember the password because I did not know I was supposed to actually type it in at later points. I always enjoy games that have a compelling story.

Great job!

Very nice idea and story, I really dig it.
Some things others have said: I honestly didn't want to go through the first days over and over again to see every ending. Maybe there is an option to do a save or something?
Also sometimes the enter button didn't work, which prolonged it a bit (you know, gamers are impatient as f**** ;))
overall a nice and unique game. Well done!

Lack of sound kind of killed it but the setting and the overall story was cool. The math stuff turned out to be a bit of a pain in the ass but oh well...
Nice job!

Really cool concept! It would increase the polish if you prevented the nighttime text adjusting to center align as it appears (most jarring when the line wraps)
