Labyrinth of Lifeforce by Arthur Baars

[raw]
made by Arthur Baars for LD 44 (COMPO)

ss2.png

You are trapped in the Devil's Labyrinth and need to find your way out!

However with every move you take, the Devil sucks up your lifeforce.
Wait for your lifeforce to return before traversing any further, but beware of the environment.

The game is quite short as I did not have alot of time.
However I tried to make the game somewhat hard! :)

If you get stuck, do know that these things function as teleporters.
Do not be afraid to touch them!

Good luck and have fun!

Fun idea to tight the movement to a life-score, cool game.A bit slow in the browser though...

I think my PC is too old to run this engine unfortunately. Like the graphics , particularly the looming devil head in the background.

The performance of the game varies alot, this is because of the quite inefficient tilemap rendering.
I noticed this while creating the game and will fix this, I hope I can release a better performing version soon. :)
Thanks for all the feedback!

Well done! I enjoyed the sound effects, especially. Maybe I missed something, but it was a little hard to figure out what I was supposed to do.

Unfortunately my PC can't handle your game either, but if you fix it I'll try to play it and rate it.

Neat idea. I thought the movement was a bit off and it felt like I was sliding around. Other than that it was a lot of fun and challenging!

Really like the sprites! Progress versus life remaining, and dodging traps, is a good tradeoff and could lead to some really tough platforming puzzles.
