I was surprised at how fun that was. I also felt like the game was mocking me by making the first jump impossible on every level. Even so it was good time. The artwork was simple but stylish and reminded me of playing Super Mario All-Stars as a kid. Nice job!

Love the graphics! Simple concept, but a lot of fun to play! Well done!

Great and addictive game, and loved the music! Liked the fact that you get three lives but if you want to make things easier you can spend a life. Little bonus, I think a score system where you could collect coins or similar which could get multiplied by the distance could be fun but that's just my personal opinion. :)

Overall, good concept and execution. My only trifles were with the music and the seed generation. I found the music got pretty repetitive pretty quickly. And I noticed that some of the jumps were simply impossible at times (not a big deal with how quick the games is though)

Congratulations on your first LD! Very cute game, the main char is adorable! I like the concept; it's well executed.

I like the game. The visuals are nice and the platforming controls well. Some of the powerups were pretty fun to use, especially the glide. I also like the trade off between getting more powerups at the risk of having fewer chances. I did find that there were occasionally jumps that were impossible to make, which could be a frustrating way to end a run. That aside, I enjoyed this game. Nice work!

Nicely done! First infinite runner I've seen in this playthrough, and it goes really well. I appreciate that you called out the known bugs in the description; I did hit the platform bug, and would've been pretty bothered if I wasn't sure it was just the first one/how to restart.

As others mentioned, the music did get a little repetitive. That kind of thing happens a lot in these competitions (I've gotten this feedback quite a few times too!) I really like the way you did the life/upgrade mechanic - very simple and effective.

My high score was 1970.

Thanks for a fun game

Great entry for your first LD. Love the pixel art. Haven't seen an infinite runner yet this jam, forgot that genre was even a thing XD. Music was nice and happy. Good execution overall. Great job.

Cute game. The difficulty seems too inconsistent - sometimes the platforms are too thin from the start or too far away. And I am missing sound options a bit. Good job! Very nice platformer.

(bugs/issues) When upgrading at the edge of the platform, you then have no time to react and just fall down. If you died and press ESC the character continues to run infinitely (currently the distance he went shows 20k and he is running for like 5 mins).

Pretty good, do some more plishing on the music and some other things and it'll be a full game!

Nice graphics and gameplay. I got really into playing *4,8k record*. Addictive game, the only thing i would change is the music that is maybe just to simple. great job!

Cool premise and good implementation of the upgrade mechanic in a runner game. I liked the art and the music was well chosen as well. The problem i had was, that it was easier to buy no upgrades at all and keep all the lives. At least in my runs I always had more points if I just rand through the shops without buying anything. That problem have many of the entries, that just replace a coin system with an hp exchange. The balancing can get very tricky.

Well done!, I really liked the music and the concept of the game in general. Many upgrades that adapted very nicely with the game! Good Job

This is really good game! Art and music art cute! (but music is very laud). Upgrades are great idea! Gliding or double jump really improves to game :)

This is only issue with random generation. very often platform are soooo far away it's impossible to jump even with double jump.

Very well polished infinite runner, if you could fix that first platform bug it will be almost perfect execution wise, and you did everything by yourself, you should be proud!

Quite good game! The upgrade system crash game on my computer quite often but still i played it! I think the glide and the double jump shoud by bind to two different keys For example glide for 'S' and double jump for 'W' bur maybe it is just me. Good luck!

The music when I first loaded the game really got me in the mood, while it was on a short loop, it didn't really matter, because I was already invested. I love the art.

One thing I noticed was it was hard to properly time my jumps when the character would jump outside the screen.

I like the concept, but for me, the abilities seemed to harm me more than help me at first. I would try to test out some of them as soon as I got them, and then die, and it really required a change of play-style when I was used to playing a different way. Maybe that's just me.

Love it!

Great game, although music is getting really annoying after a while - should be option to mute it.
Every single time i started a game first gap was too big so i lost 1 heart (always!)
Then when i was presented with a choice "double jump" or "platforms are closer" - i naturally choose double jumb because i mistrusted you with those platforms :D

Great pixelart btw - i really love it - platforms reminds me old times with first Mario and Gumbas :)

The platforms were pretty hard to land on, and they kept generating too far away to jump. But I really loved the graphics and UI. It was pretty fun to play, nice job!

Good game, my only suggestion would be to make S close the upgrade menu since the other options are accessible through keyboard.

Fun game, pretty hard! I wish that rounds would last longer and let me use the health-sacrifice mechanic more often. So basically, there should be more hearts! Maybe a flag could also give you a heart if you're at 1 heart. OR you could have independent heart pickups. That way, upgrades would be more frequent and flags would be useful more often. The way it is right now, I only ever get 1 upgrade at max per run.

I like the graphics by the way, game looks pretty cool!

This was fun! I really enjoyed the bright colors and how the music fit the mood perfectly.

Controls were very responsive and the upgrade system was fun. I never came across a heart though. Can you get them back?

I think the music loop could use a little extra polish. It is simple and works well, but the loop is very obvious and comes often which can get distracting.

Well done!

I like it, and I like the concept, but I do have three issues I'd like to raise:

1. The music is too bleepy and repetitive.
2. It seems there's a bug where when you restart, the first jump is impossible.
3. You really ought to get more than just three lives. As it stands, three lives is just enough leeway for one upgrade and one death. I like the idea that you're trading extra lives for powerups, but I do think that you get too few lives to really explore the concept.

The game is really well made. I especially like the art and the artstyle of the text. It also seems to be very consistent except that the main character has a black outline and the rest does not and that the of the assets is changing but that didn't bother me at all ^^ The text on the buttons could have been maybe in the same style as the other text in the game and the black outline would maybe look prettier in another color due to the fact that it makes the character pop out a bit too much and this way he seems a bit out of the world. The bug with the upgrade system seems to occur because after I purchased the upgrade for a smaller distance between platforms they stayed at that distance after respawn D: The music is pretty nice but could be longer ^^ The gameplay itself is pretty hard especially at the beginning because you have almost no airtime and have to be very precise. But as the game's speed increases so does to speed of your jump and the game get's easier and easier, which leads to an inverted difficulty curve. The change of the environment the longer you play is a pretty good idea ^^ and could be expanded with maybe some more difficult or new mechanics and the idea of the music's speed increasing is also really good ^^ The glide upgrade didn't seem to have much impact on the game and the double jump didn't work :c Also the game is a bit too punishing. Some collectible extra lifes or more lifes in general would have been pretty nice :) As a summary the game is really good but need some balancing and could be expaneded ^^
