It has PermaDeath!!

GameModes Demo = demo version, has 3 waves of enemies, after each wave a shop menu will open where you can upgrade and buy weapons; Survival = unlimited enemies, increasing in number over time, can open shop anytime;

Controls: W ASD : to move

Point Mouse: to target

Click : to fire

P / esc : to pause

B : to open shop(only in challenge)

Update 1: for some reason the normal build was not working, so i uploaded the development build

Post-Jam fix 1: fixed shop UI and sound autoplay(man! i forgot to disable "play at start")

Congratulations on your first LD! Unfortunately when I tried to play it over at itch.io, it crashes loading in the browser.. using Chrome. Other itch.io unity games have worked tonight for me, so maybe see if you can replicate the crash on your side?

@phyro @redhermit there was a problem with unity webgl normal build, so i uploaded the development build, it's working now, no crashes. sorry

The dev build has a lot of slowdowns and sound crashes out after a while. It might be a good idea to make a desktop build of the game available.

Crash for me too on Chrome. The title screen showed, and then the UI showed, but the sound went out and the screen was black.

Web version: I got stuck like this. Nothing happened, ie I didn't die, couldn't move etc. Seems like it could be fun if fixed up though! ![Screenshot at 2019-05-01 11-59-24.png](///raw/9bd/22/z/24159.png)

Very good game, I really played for a long time, the movement of players is exaggerated, I do not know whether this is your design or you did not adjust the physical material of the floor, or what other reasons.

Unfortunately the game is pretty buggy, in survival mode enemies don't shoot. Player control is unintuitive player slide on the floor, You should look into Unity physics: drag and other properties. Still congrats, hope Your next game will be better :)

I was running away from enemy during some minutes until I discovered I wasn't loosing HP from enemies, they weren't shooting me :shrug: This has a potential but if we can't die, there is no challenge, nor danger!
But nice game, congratz for doing that alone! :slight_smile: :thumbsup:

I was really impressed by the feel of the movement. The acceleration and damping felt super smooth. The movement made the game fun to play.
The only one tiny nitpick i have, would be the sound that plays when you start the game.
It was a bit to loud, compared to the rest of the audio.
Other than that: Nice entry!

@yinian yes, the movement is a design, made a physics material for this movement
@awesomealliterationalliance i'm not very good at making sound, but i had to add something for bgm, at last moment, so it got a little weird

I don't get the point of floaty controls, But I think this was a nice entry nonetheless. :slight_smile:
Also could've been nice to have some feedback on enemy health or if its been hit.

Fun game. The firing and movement felt really good.

Some of the enemies fired at different rates than others. It may be worthwhile to give them a visual indicator, like if they were a different color. Also, some way to tell progress would be good, like a count of the enemies left.

A good entry.
