Meaningful Life

Thank you for taking the time to play my game for the compo category. I am delighted to have had some time to participate in this edition!

I have developed a small experience that I think fits very well with the theme. Although it is very short, I think I have been able to convey what I intended.

I am currently working as a serious games programmer in VR / AR, so I use these competitions to learn new tools, such as substance painter or blender, and take a break from my daily routine.

I hope you like it!

Two different endings!

If you want to check the whole process, you can see the timelapse that I recorded during the development.

Wow. I don't want to spoil anything to others, so I just keep being silent here. I like this approach to.. jam game, world, life?

That was a very quick experience! It also deafened me a moment, damn chicks are so loud! It doesnt have much to do with the theme but i really liked it! I eventually figured out i can go againts the machine and i escaped and lived!
Cool game! You have also got the highest Mood rating from me so far because those chicks and instant start really throws you into a confusion and panic state which they would be feeling! Awesome!

I like this.

The scene is really nice. The chicks are adorable. The shells.. are in my McNuggets? The second ending seems unfinished, considering that the machine is so polished.

I think the sound was a little loud. It may have been clipping a bit.

@pincushion if you look carefully, the shell fall before you reach the last machine ;) Thank you for your feedback.

@onnofal thank you for playing it!

@lubaka thank you for your feedback. The theme is in the meat industry and how your life- as a chicken- is a huge bussines. I'm glad you enjoyed it!! :)

Good interpretation of the theme :) We had the same idea on our brainstorming wall but went with something completely different. Got both endings! yay! The art work is good, conveyed your message perfectly. Nice work!

I can't get the second ending and i really want to. At the same time, i dont want to spoil it for everyone. Maybe its soo obvious and I cant see it. Can you msg me somehow about how to get the second ending?

The squaking startled me a little. An interesting concept, actually made me think a little and a quite alternative take on the theme - fitting I find! Great change from the usual spend HP to buy weapons (not that I am any better :D ).

Very very nice concept here!
It was short, yes, but it left quite an impression. Really interesting take on the theme and a quite unique experience.
I think the dark souls end screen kinda makes a joke out of the otherwise quite terrifying scene.

I managed to survive the 2nd time but I think I nearly broke my space bar to fly as mush as I can! :) I love the way you interpreted the theme and the atmosphere you managed to create there. Maybe the sounds should be adjusted to be less present. I found also that you have to walk on the other chicks to survive... Another message of the game ?

I loved the graphics! (Unfortunately) They look a lot like the real scenario. The chicks are too cute... It was really nice as well to see all the process and work you have put into this game.

The controls were a little bit weird to me, but I kind of enjoyed all the dizziness.

I awoke on a conveyor belt with comrades. I realized I could hop upon my fellows in order to escape. After many minutes of striving, I escaped! I wandered around in the void and tried to investigate the horrors I narrowly avoided.

walked straight through the wall and got et enyway

Succeded to avoid death, but I think the overall was more an immersive experience than a game :)

This is really great I like it a lot! Very smart entry. I wonder if escape should even be an option, though? I kinda like the idea of an infinite loop you can't win. But really great entry! Best I've played I think.
