The mechanics are solid and the choices feel meaningful, requiring trial and error to figure out the best combination of upgrades which felt fuffiling. The same trial and error did make the game feel a litle repetitive, but that would be an easy fix, the game itself feels good!

Although graphically simple it has a quite interesting idea for mechanics. One thing that would definitely improve the gameplay is the sounds of buttons and some climatic soundtruck.

I liked this... the idea is solid. I'm with GabrielH on the trial and error to take the right upgrade path. I think it'd be good if the powerups were temporary, and the game had multiple levels with predictable obstacles, so with each level you'd have to work out when to buy certain upgrades...
One thing that could really have improved this for me though, is a score or timer or some way of being able to tell how well I was doing.

enjoyed the idea of sacrificing health to power-up your other stats, find an artist for the next jam !

At first, I wasn't exactly sure what I was supposed to do, but then I quickly learned how to play properly and I actually found myself really enjoying it! Only thing is I got to a part where there's a wall that covers the entire height of the screen and I wasn't exactly sure how to get past. Outside of that, well done!

This was surprisingly fun :) strangely I am reminded of Nemesis/Gradius and the upgrade as you play method. Nice!
