Hey I wasn't able to play it. It's a downloadable html5 game but chrome doesn't run it. I couldn't rate :(

Great music. The artwork is nice too. I would have liked to get further through this game but I couldn't get over the spikes. Nice entry regardless!

Digged the falling stars as graphics and the music. Kept getting nailed by that big rolling Tums.

Nice art and looping music; sadly i'm too bad at platformer to get past the spike and got frustrated going back at the begening each time :p (as you can't get seem to take more than one hit). Still good game :)

@cornflowerblue Thank you!
@gward2489 He is just a bag of coins, so he can tale any more damage than a coin lol. Thank you very much!
@kichex We will try to update with a new version for PC! Sorry for this, we hope you can play!
@sondrian Thank you so much! You have to use the chest to get over the spikes. With Z you can catch the chest up your head, and use it to go futher.
@andyg Thank you! You can destroy them haha!
@yohsk13 Thank you very much! You have to use the chest to get over the spikes.

Can't play the game!, Chrome does not support webGL, but i think you are fixing it.

You can host HTML5 games on itch.io. See this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNLpZVNDQqc . It totally works, because I use this to host my game)

As others have said, I'm having troubles running the game, and since it's html5 you should embed it into itch.io!

For those who can't get it to work in chrome, try out edge or IE (as blasphemous as it sounds).

Nice work! I like the music a lot. Two main notes:
1. I would try hosting it on Itch.IO to run in the browser there, it would make it easier for others to play (and would save on the troubleshooting some people are needing to go through).
2. The instantaneous death, if intended, is a bit brutal given that sometimes you can't quite see whats coming (you sometimes have things coming at you quickly from off screen, sometimes you are dropping down onto enemies offscreen, etc). I think things would have been a bit more fun if you maybe lost a coin slot each time you got hit or avoid creating situations where it is tough to avoid getting hit.

I love the art style, but as others have said, the instantaneous death is jarring and in many ways feels unfair because some attacks are not telegraphed well. Overall love the production, just needs more tuning and tweaking.

@kichex @the-blue-hatted @team-on @rombus The game is full function guys! Have fun! We know that the game has problem with the level design and instantaneous death, but we did our best with the deadline.

The art style, the music and the sounds in this game feel very nice and good! I really like it!

I also like the gameplay, once I got the hang of the controls, I could get through the spikes with ease.

Unfortunately, I am having an issue which might be related to my screen, where I am unable to see the enemies until it is too late. Being able to take just one hit from those enemies without a checkpoint system feels needlessly punishing :(

I have gone through the game about 7 times, where I mostly ended up dying at the spikes because I always forgot about that one enemy there, hehe :D

The 8th time I died was at the crystal spikes, where I felt like the hitbox was a bit off... then I got moved all the way back to the beginning. That's when I felt like I have had enough and I decided it would be better to stop :D

Anyway... it is a really nice game and I respect your feel for artstyle and sound music ! :)
Good overall! :)

Side note: I am not sure why you decided to be rated on humor :D the game is rather rage inducing :D

@x-budsterized-x Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review! Indeed we did not have time to implement a checkpoint system and unfortunately this feels punishing. There is a lot of bad level design as well. Next time we will try better! Thanks again!

Really good premise. I have some small issues with the design, but if you touched it up I could see this turning into an instant classic as a web game.

Overall a really nice game! The graphics were partially a bit hard to distinguish and as a non-jump-and-run-person, the game felt a bit repetitive after a while.

Thank you for providing a web version!

Loved the graphic and the music loop, which add a lot to the global mood : ) The idea of managing your chest while going though the level is interesting and can lead to very good game design situations : ) Couldn't go through the spikes zone, but felt like shooting and "flow" of the game was quite nice !

Nice artwork; really liked the spotlight effect and blurred background to establish mood! My one critique would be the combination of dark rooms, dark enemies, one hit kills, and being sent back to the beginning; on their own those are all great, but together they felt rather punishing. (My own entry deserves some similar criticism.) Still very much enjoyed the interesting mechanics of coin and chest management, and the related puzzling. Nicely done!

@maakole Thank so much! We indeed have a problem with design as general.

@dasmaichen Thanks so much! The level design in general was not what we want it to achieve. Next time we'll definilly do better!

@t-bo Thank you very much! We did put a lot of effort into the music and graphics!

Graphics and the mood paired with fitting music are fantastic, great job! As others said game could use some checkpoints. I managed to get to moving platforms but I messed up the jump and fell into the spike pit before giving up. If you were to add checkpoints I would definitely replay the game.

Graphics and sounds/music are very well done. It took a bit to get used to the z-x-c keys, but once I remembered, i got through a bit further. Nice entry!

Awesome game! I really like the style of the enemies, and the overall art and music of the game. It did take me awhile to get use to the controls, but once i did it was really fun to play.

Really nice music and art :) But confusing controls... And it's hard to recognize an enemy in the dark sometimes.

I like what you've done with the coins, and the artwork is cute and has had lots of attention to detail put into it.

I think what's letting it down is the controls aren't intuitive, i was about to quit the game before i decided to press every button on my keyboard and found out you can shoot a coin, pick up the chest and jump. Sadly i dudn't get along with the controls so had to give up.

It would be fantastic if you kept working on this, iron out any bugs, i see lots of people mentioning the controls too so take a look at how you can introduce the player to your game or even think about how you can make the controls easier to use.

Keep up the great work though, as i said the artwork was fantastic!

@tezza48 made me try again and push really all the keys :D So "Z" apparently manipulates the chest. A good mechanic. But I really, really couldn't go on after the damn plate (?) killed me again even after I tried blocking it with the chest. I have to calm down. I guess that's a good hardcore sign, no? :D I like the sounds and the music very much, the graphics is really nice, good job. All in all, not bad!

The game had very fitting music and sound effects that made it feel more complete. I couldn't get past the spikes, but that was probably because I'm bad at the game, not because it's a bad game. Congratulations though, everything looks nice.

@drakvor Thank you so much for taking the time to play! Glad you liked! Try to press Z to get your chest above your head, them jump into the spikes and press Z again to realease the chest, so that you can pass that part. Did you the updated version?

The game was pretty nice even though I was not able to jump over the spikes D: Also they had a very big hitbox which made it even harder. This rolling circle thing didn't kill me the first time it hit me but on another playthrough it did. The music is pretty nice and fitting but it's not yours and that isn't made clearly enough! It would be better to leave the audio category out, even though the sound effects are great ._. The controls are a bit too slow for my taste and the jump is not really that high, but I am glad I am not the only one who has his Jump on 'c' :D The graphics of this game are awesome ^^ The spikes are a blurry and the rats are hard to see and kind of surprising because they are so dark but they all fit together and make a great aesthetic. The idea behind shooting coins is really great but maybe a little bit too easy, because every rat was just one shot ^^ Also there could be maybe a bit more feedback for the player. Also I didn't get why I had to take the chest with me. It seemed a bit useless. Maybe you could jump over the spikes with her? I'm not sure. Also it would have been cool, if the music didn't restart every time I die. That could be made with a DontDestroyOnLoad-AudioManager or by just teleporting the player to his spawn point, but than the rats would be dead. Really good game ^^ But needs maybe a bit more polish :)

Now I played version 2 and you ddid polish the game D: What I realy don't like is, that you removed the link to your original version!!!
Now the game is much clearer and I get what I have to do, but you added so much content that it no longer should be considered a jam game ._. You should be showing what you did in those few hours, not what you added later :c The game itself is really good and you can be proud of you, but pls don't remove the link to the first version.
