I really enjoy your game. Level 2 is very hard for me! Great artwork and music. Sets the mood very well.

Wow, this was very fun! Love the idea!

Great music and visuals.

The gameplay itself was a bit lacking though. I tended to forget which letter was which color. Also, it felt a bit unresponsive, I often missed although I was pretty sure I hit. But that could be caused by my not-exactly-high-end pc.

It seemed that some of the closer notes wouldn't hit right, other than that fantastic entry. Good work!

Super sexy game, great visuals all around and the music was on point.

gameplay could be improved, I never learned the simple two key mapping; would have preferred every letter on the keyboard as long as they're also shown on the screen haha

absolutely great work

I don't know if it's just the Mac build, but it's kinda laggy. Even hitting the notes pretty darn close didn't work. :/ Had to hit about 2-3 off-beats early. Pretty though!

@pandademic42 Did you try lowering the quality? i had no problems, and the Windows/Linux builds felt really responsive to me.

Absolutelly brilliant graphics, animation and music! Controls feel a little bit strange in second level but I think it's because it has smaller time margin for each button press.

@Jima thank you so much! I'm aware! with the faster notes it starts being a bit strange, i didn't have much time to tweak the trigger detection area.
Those scores are great! I just saw your game and it looks incredible, i'll play and rate it tomorrow :)

The game had low fps for me but its probably just my dying computer, the game, despite this, was still fun! You did a great job of making an entertaining game!

I am terrible at rhythm games, but enjoy trying to play them.

Your game wave very visually stunning, and I liked the theme. As for the rhythm elements, I found myself wanting to dance to the music, or hit the keys in time to the beat but would get messed up when I needed to hit two beats quickly in a row. It didn't feel like that was part of the song, and would trip me up for a while.

Was there a pattern to the colors? It felt almost like it was random whether I'd be hitting blue or red. For a complex song hitting the colors for a high vs. a low note, or for the beats of different instruments might have worked better. In level two I wanted to hit in time with the tambourine and drum, but none of the notes seemed to line up with those instruments.

I love how you focused on making two really solid levels scoping down to make something polished verses trying to get a ton of levels that might be buggy. The only thing I would add is some UI to reinforce which key to press for each color. D and K don't mean Blue and Red to me, and it would have been a bit easier if the letter was in the middle of the star to help me remember which key to press. I don't have enough practice yet to have the muscle memory based on colors...yet :D

I wish I was better at hitting the stars so I could watch the cowboys dance.

If you continue working on this, I'd love to see a two player version so we can play it co-op together. Porting to controllers might also make it easier to play. Imagine if I could get this to work on my Rock Band Drum Kit or Guitar Hero Special Controller!

Had so much fun playing this game, I love rhythm games. Especially with the guys in the background dancing, they made me laugh a few times. Easily my favorite soundtrack of all the LD games I've played so far

A really polished project, I also like the animations. I found the rhythm to be a little hard to follow on the second level though. Perhaps if there was a bit more tolerance on input delay or maybe more feedback on input? It might be a subjective thing. I would also like to see the feedback words (awesome, good, bad etc.) closer to the bottom of the screen since my sight is mainly focused on the star. But other than that, good game!

So funny animations.
Great music.
You should add more levels! : D (and maybe other sceneries)
One note. The margin is sometimes very small and sometimes it's frustrating

Killer graphics, audio, and animations :)
I wonder why you didn't keep the Humor caregory, I was smiling at those animatio's the whole game haha

Neat entry, especially for a compo!

This was a lot of fun. I like the simple rhythm mechanic and the animations had me laughing. I also like the simple layout and the visual filters you chose. The music was great also which really makes this whole thing work.

This was a wonderful effort, especially for the compo. I think it is complete just the way that it is.
