Overview

The desert is the place to be if you enjoy boiling in the sun, but too much of a good thing can make for a bad time. As an Amphibian Analyst specializing in Caecilian Stamina and striving to secure a critical research grant, you’ll have to make the most of those arid conditions and put the enduring spirit of a frog to the test.

The criteria is clearly defined: you can’t move the frog by yourself, but there’s no rules against spurring it on. When you notice the effects of heat exhaustion setting in, remedy them to the best of your ability: poke them with a stick when they start to slow down, give them a few drops from an eyedropper when their vision starts to fade, and make sure they stay moist with some spray bottle intervention.

There’s no way the frog will clear the desert alive, but with a little elbow grease and determination, they might just cover enough distance to aid in your application!

Needs to give backfire when item is spammed. Can play the game without losing by spamming all three items on the frog. Keep it up!

It looks really really good , but the shader doesn't help readability of the action, I think it detracts from the experience. Maybe lighter shaders?

Good catch, @casper! We actually had a delay implemented during the jam, but we didn't have the feedback necessary to make it feel deliberate, so we cut it. Diminishing returns for spamming would've made for a solid solution, though!

Much appreciated, @trabitboy. We're glad you like the look of it! The shader effect is definitely spectacle over practicality. It was intended to make the game harder, but we agree that its present state is a little too strong!
