I liked it! The audio and music fit well with the look and feel. Simple mechanics but fun to play.

I like it!

The gameplay is rather simple at first (just click one of two buttons) but that's all it needed to be and it's executed beautifully. The graphics and audio come together to produce a really cool vibe and shows that hard work was put into this game. The different enemy types are all uniquely designed and the glitchy music are just perfect.

Well done!

I love how unassuming the game is at first, then the subtleties and humor amp the game up to memorable among all the other submissions I've seen today!

The Earthbound/Undertale vibe is great and the game overall is just fantastic!

Absolutely loved the Superhot gameplay mechanic usage, it spiced up what's normally standard fanfare. I could see you exploring that even further with more UI elements that expand on it. The polish is also incredible, just about everything had something juicy in it.

Really well done, amazingly unique mechanic. Absolutely loved how the game played. When I got cursed it was a huge AHA moment at how far you could take this concept.

Great work, also really enjoyed the Undertale feeling to it.

I did wish I could see more about the enemy though (health?)

There really has to be something here that I don't understand.

I played this a few times and every time I got around 4 or 5 rounds in before I died no matter what I did. My power was constantly depleting and there really didn't seem to be much I could do about it as the enemies did a lot more damage than I could ever seem to recover.

If there is something I'm missing please tell me as I really like the idea but I really couldn't get into the game because of this.

Graphics and sound are pretty good, though.

Lovely graphics! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Qv2KH3BQm4

Took me a while to discover why my own power is drained, really creative mechanic though :) It
does however kind of make the heal button unusable since the way the mouse has to travel to get there almost negates any advantage you'd get...

Lovely art style and fitting sfx + music.

Definitely one of the better entries I have played so far

@puarsliburf

Almost everything you do takes power, even clicking buttons and moving your mouse cursor, so that might be why your health was ticking down. You could have also been 'cursed!' by an enemy.

Upgrade zones are tricky; sometimes you get lucky and get good power and recharge options, and other times you have to deal with bad options. Getting to 4-5 rounds is quite good!

The mother/earthbound aesthetic is super appealing to me. I love the fact as well that because moving your cursor drains battery then the more powerfull attacks which are higher up naturally take more power to use just by moving to select them. Really clever game mechanic!

I liked the art style and music a lot. The design of enemies is also really cool, and i love how the game makes you decide really quick because you lose life over time during your turn choice.

I was looking forward to playing this game but I wasn't quite sure what was going on. Greate art style and sound effects.

Hey there,
You have done a great job at harmonizing sound, graphic and overall mood of the game ;) Excellent..

Downsides are the short play time. Gameplay soon becomes kind of repetitive. Also little balancing of the shield would be nice, because now it is not so usefull.

Thank you for puslishing it!

If you'll find a time, I'll be glad if you check out our game too :)

Crashes safari (and my computer with it), trying chrome:
Interesting art. Imaginative little texts. Dazzling abilities.
Fun tradeoffs but hard to predict. Also the single health/ability pool is a bit strategy limiting I feel. (but understandable, I did the same for my entry).

This was pretty brutally hard, especially when I didn't realize that moving my mouse around causes me to lose power! The graphics support the theme of the game well, very industrial and grimy. Baddery is just the best name ever for an enemy that is a battery I mean jeez. It was difficult, the skills felt quite weak and the shield/recharge thing felt like I was just postponing my turmoil for a turn or two. The whole package had a good overall mood because of all the audiovisual elements coming together and bringing me that industrial feel so well.

This is such a cool game I just wish I wasn't so bad at it...

The art and music are stellar and the theme is used in such a great way. The whole game has a sense of humor about it that is amazing. You should be super proud of this.

In the interest of being honest, I've got to say that the gameplay could've done with a little touch up, as I had few cues as to what a move would do (namely Maximize, other things like attack power were obvious), and regenerating seemed like a waste of a turn given how much damage you'd end up taking.

However – in the interest of being honest – this is a very very well polished entry, and the graphics, graphical effects, and audio to meet them were all fantastically pulled off. The enemies were well designed, even if difficult to fight, and the game was interesting throughout. Additionally, I am a sucker for puns and cats.

All that said, well done overall! A good entry worthy of good scores.

Love the art and the sound! Would be cool to see this as part of a larger game. The power draining mechanic is interesting but it kinda discourages experimentation as I for me at least, it seemed the most effective thing to do was to move the mouse as little as possible and just keep hitting zap over and over and recharging when I could in between fights. Maybe there is another strategy I'm not seeing but I didn't find the spells or stat increases too useful (the shield didn't seem worth it either). Anyway, nice entry!
