The fight for ram has started!

The objective in ChromeSmasher is to prevent the chromes from reaching your ram. If the chromes do reach the ram well don't worry you will need a couple more to get to the ram before its GAME OVER.

Chrome eating up too much RAM? I feel your pain :)

This is good satire, perhaps better satire than a game. As a game, I'd love for it to have more variety: powerups, different kinds of Chromes (e.g. multiple tabs that you have to click several times), maybe objects to put in their way when there are too many of them... Otherwise, it gets boring fairly quickly. But I do think that adding some new features can make it into an addictive minimalist game.

Awesome that you managed to complete the game for the jam. Agree with @senokos more things could have been added to create variation but still it's a workable game. The difficulty could have ramped up must faster in my opinion.

After reading the premise of the game, I had a solid chuckle for a whole minute, absolutely awesome!

The game itself runs well in browser, and the controls are simple. The concept and sound is really fun.

The overall game itself is very simple, I would love if the chromes sped up a bit faster, and maybe a variety of chromes (versions? faster, stronger...).

This was a really fun idea, thanks!

Fun little game, had a good time playing it. Maybe adding a beat to the music could have made it so much better. Really well executed concept. Good work!

Nice and simple. I like the idea, and the art design as well. The music is a little repetitive and doesn't loop very well though.

Well, there's not much to say as it's a really simple game. You could easily iterate on this one to add different kind of chromes coming in, power ups etc.
Also the game lacks of impact / feedback on player actions: sounds, shakes, flashes etc.

Two small issues: sometime when you destroy a chrome the *explosion* animation does not play entirely (or at all) and the music is not looping properly, we ear the looping point.

Aside form that it's a cool little game.

It's a very simple game with only really one mechanic. It could use some upgrades / different Chrome types to diversify the gameplay more.

This is cool! I like the concept, it is a very unique take on the theme. Good effort making music and all of the art! This concept can, and should be, definitely expanded upon. Well done :)

It's a nicely made game, it's simple and fun, keeping the player busy at all times so that they don't get bored by constantly spawning Chromes is a vital design choice. The music and graphics are okay. The execution of the "Chrome eats your RAM" idea fits the theme really well. My only complaint is that the Chrome's hit box is maybe too small or the clicks aren't being detected properly. 4/5

I agree with most of the feedback, it took a little while for the game to speed up and then once I hit 20 points it seemed to ramp up a lot and my clicks were not being detected. Also, the death animation did not always play, so that was a little sad. I am happy you had a mute music button because the song did get a little repetitive. Overall good game, that could be great with some tweaks.

I actually ran out of ram when I first tried to load this, making a mistake of not closing my 30 or so tabs. I scored 50. The chromes should have been tabs. Gameplay is very basic, and lacks that much variation; the feedback above should be enough.
