LAZERBOI is Earth's last lone warrior against an onslaught of Cyber-Spiders. They are many, but so is he. To gain the strength to save the world, is Lazerboi willing trade his life?

HOW TO PLAY

ezgif.com-optimize.gif

Shoot Cyber-Spiders to increase the value of your life.
Death is part of the game. After you die, respawn and grab your former body – sell it to improve your new life.

Toss your former body into the coffins at the shop to increase one of three stats: * Dash Cooldown – Dash more often * Health – Take more hits without dying * Fire Speed – More speed for your LAZERS

IMPORTANT

This game has very deep lore. To experience all the glorious lore, make sure to download a standalone build, as the WebGL build does not have as much fabulous lore. Also, epilepsy warning. For real.

Have seen your stream, definitely waited to try it out. Great visuals and music, but could not understand how to "buy" stuff. Some minor bugs and feels a little unbalanced, but for LD is great.
PS: I played the standalone build.

Watched ur stream too and enjoyed it hard. I love the trashy 90s setting and ur team. Game is great for what u can do in 72 hours. Nice sounds, graphics and effects. Hope u will do further work on this Project ... im burning for a Tyranno-Laz0r-Rex Boss.

Ditched the WASD controls after a while and simply teleported across the map by firing into the opposite direction because of the recoil. 10/10

Wow, a really polished game! Sound, graphics and FX were really nice. It was really difficult though and I was missing feedback for the dash recharge and the amount of bought upgrades.

Damn.

The game looks awesome! Also sound fits.
Unfortunately I felt unable to live longer than 15 seconds. doesn't matter where you go, you always die als big spiders make 25% dmg and there are many.
The safe spots are not really safe.
Spiders don't walk there but they shoot at you there. So no chance to trade in the corpses. Always when I tried to trade them in I got killed while doing so. Fuirther you can't shoot while carrying your corpse so you get killed even faster.

Probably my "skill" but I think the game is quite hard.

Anyways: As I said it looks and feels awesome, I would just like to start a bit easier.

P.s.: It felt like if in WebGL the shoot rate of spiders is lower.
P.p.s.: The Windows build does not capture (lock) the mouse so I sometimes clicked somewhere on my secondary screens.

The beginning was kinda meh.
But as soon as i reached godmode insta gib minigun laser fire it was pretty godlike.
Was hard to die if you kill everything :D
All in all good graphics, nice sounds and music. Is fun :)

Wow. Visually very pleasing. Looks and sounds absolutely great! The idea for the game is fun as well. The enemies felt a bit too bullet spongy to me and were not really interesting to fight against. I would have liked them to be faster and more dangerous but with a much lower HP pool. That would probably also make the dash more useful. Good job! :)

That was definitely a super fun game, really well polished, too polished for a game jam  I am just salty . The only thing I would suggest is to make the mouse cursor/pointer a bit clear/different than the environment, it was hard to keep track of it. Other than that this is the best game I played this LD so far

Enjoyed this one a lot once I got the hang of it. I tried to "get" it for a long time by just playing the game but I had to give up and go to the LD page in order to understand what I was supposed to do. Some final win condition would have been nice. I'd also have liked some more UI letting me know how much a body will let me upgrade the mechanics and how much I already gained from the respective coffins.

Other than that, big props for the visual fidelity, the city models, vfx and post fx. Looks amazing, especially for a game jam game!
