Yet another golf game - try to score as little as possible!

The first level contains all the instructions you need, just click Play to begin.

The idea with the theme was the golf scoring system where you are aiming to use as few shots as possible - the more score you have, the worse it is :)

I was away at the weekend so only had a few hours on Sunday and Monday evenings to make this game. As a result, it's not as finished as I'd like but I was determined to finish a 9 hole course.

Some bugs and potential future features:

  • Some shots don't register properly
  • Nicer looking menus
  • Particle effects
  • Sound effects and music
  • Tweaking physics friction and bounce settings
  • Fix certain models so that the holes are on flat ground
  • Fix gaps at the ends of models (behind holes and tees)
  • Global leaderboard

If you liked it (or not!), leave a comment and I'll rate your game!

If the game doesn't work please let me know what platform/browser you are using so I can recreate it. I've tested it in Chrome and Firefox and the Windows download seems to work fine.

Sorry to hear that, are you using webgl or windows version? Did the game crash or was it non-responsive or something?

Great job! I enjoyed the gameplay. With just some music and a background this can be a great game! Congrats

Game was good, I liked the way the world seems to move when shooting rather that the arrow. but i'm not sure how it links to the theme?

Not a bad golf game, I understand the lack of time left you with little wiggle room. The ball could do with some bounciness off of the walls it seems to just stick to them on my side.

As a prototype I really like your implementation of a simple and nice physics game like yours. The only problem, not about the game per se, is that I cannot see the theme on your game, maybe if we stretch a bit and consider that the more force you put on the shot worse it gets, but this is not always true, like in a big field.

Nonetheless I played for a bit and enjoyed the game.

Pretty fun golf game! I would suggest possibly giving the ball more friction though, because sometimes you're stuck waiting for it to stop slowly moving.

Impressive work for only a few hours on sunday and monday! I didn't really get the connection with the theme but it was still nice. On the second hole, I managed to shoot the ball off the course and it just fell down forever. It did reset when I did the same thing on hole 3, but then the put hole was gone.

the game is very fun to play. However, the theme was not well featured on it. But I had fun playing it, well done!

I fell off the second level and had no way to reset the hole or anything. I had to restart the whole game.

Nice use of shapes and velocity. Kudow for getting something done in the time you had available.

Was fun, but I really wanted to see the balls falling through the holes!

The king's game! Pretty solid golf game. The shot meter felt a bit too powerful for some courses but generally it was fun to line up shots, although the walls felt a bit sticky which made it hard to bank shots. It was a bit frustrating to have to wait for the ball to come to a complete stop though, and I also had some mouse capture issues in the WebGL version (ie the cursor started to show up about halfway through the game which felt weird). With some physics tweaks and polish this could be pretty fun!

This is just really, really bad.

You should improve the physics the ball stops a lot on the curves and then it takes a little time to completely stop. Adding more friction as was mentioned before might help.
