Squares & Hexes by Tom Robson

--Squares & Hexes!--
What could be more fun than speeding through a level, trying to time your jumps at just that perfect moment to make it through the level without dying a dozen times? Sure, it starts out slow, but before long you'll be zipping into (and over) hazards in an attempt to beat all 10 levels here! And yes, every level is possible, and it is possible to complete with 0 deaths.
This was made in three days by a game development student as a submission for Ludum Dare 40. Will I continue developing it? Maybe, though probably not. Will I fix things if needed? Sure.
Hopefully it's an enjoyable distraction for a couple minutes while surfing the web! Have fun!

Here's my score:

It felt a little weird to start with the remaining height after dead in the level restart, but overall it was fun to play. I played it twice. The first time I collected all the hexes. In the second run I left out one, it was easier that way.
Loved the red - orange color scheme and the music is quite nice!
At the beginning of each level could be some free space - got a bit stuck perma-dying in some levels :D
I think this is a solid use of the theme. The more hexes you have, the more deaths you'll get, but they also get you points, so it forces you to decide how and when you're going to make that trade-off.
_Waitaminute_, I could have avoided those?
Fast and intuitive, very nice :)
I really don't understand how the speed is regulated, the last level is only manageable when the player is fast enough - is this changing per death?

All in all keep the up the good work!
