Very nice game! One of my favorites of this jam currently. Nice idea, simple and smooth movement, maybe some music and it might be perfect :D

Simple premise but it really works.

Addictive and the graphics were gorgeous. I'll go back and play this one more!

by far the best playing and best looking game i played sofar. the only thing missing is a nice music tune to listen to while playing.

A good and polished entry. However, I found a little weird that you need to move your mouse during shot to give it the good angle.

Smoooth. I liked how both dodging and counter-attacking are skill based since you have to aim with mouse at the time of hit. It's very enjoyable to hit multiple balls at once and basically everything is enjoyable in this game. The one thing I would consider is expanding map, because it felt a bit cramped with more enemies. But it adds to the suspension I guess.

A very good job on the entry, good luck!

Loved it! Basically a very unfair version of dodge ball.

I think a more "tennis-y" aesthetic could have helped reinforce the racket-swinging mechanic, but for 48 hours this is really really great.

Simple and really fun. This game is fantastic to look at and to play. The game is as smooth as butter. Just wished there was some music to go over the game and maybe a way to get extra lives. Otherwise, great job!

wow, again! really great art style!
Simple mechanism but really funny,
some comment above said there is a boss, can you tell when it appears? my best score is 280 only but I would like to try to get to the boss!

@GoldRanger haha, the boss will appear at 60 seconds, and here is a trick, you can move your mouse in your target's direction,so that the bullet will fly to your target

Fantastic game! I don't know what to say. Everything is perfect. It is so impressive that someone can make a game in 2 days like that. This is a game that could sell for $9.99 on Steam. It feels so smooth and polished. My favorite one so far!

fun game! looks really good, runs smooth. at first I thought i was trying to defend the three heart containers, because they're objects in the court. maybe just keeping those in the UI would be clearer, but anyway, really tiny detail. great job!

Okay, I'm a huge sucker for the TRON neon aesthetic so that's what first drew me in, but even aside from that this is a great game. Clever idea, challenging to play, and well polished. Nice work!

Epic game :) ! The sound effects are really juicy and satisfying to listen too ! Great 3D art and fluid player controls and animations ! Seriously it felt awesome moving about the scene shooting back glowing tennis balls at these squishy enemies !

Those graphics are amazing! It's pretty boring without any music, though. Also don't really agree with the hitboxes of the bullets, kept getting hit while still shooting it back at the same time. The screenshake is also a bit too much.

Hi, fellow bullethell + racquet-game player (I got bullethell + squash 😜).

The look of this one is amazing - especially the lighting seems magnificent and the UI is a joy to look at.
IMO the controls hold it back from greatness from being much more fun. Normal arrow movement + mouse aim would probably be nicer.

Graphics, presentation and juice are phenomenal. Controls are a little strange - the mouse feels almost quantized somehow, and I think that gets in the way of the flow a bit for me. But fun!

Gameplay has one problem - laggy reflects. Every time I attack with my rocket I have no idea where the balls flying. Sometimes game plays very fine and I have a lot of fun... sometimes it become stupidly becase all shoit missed =(

Very polished game, but the gameplay needs improvement.
The enemies start shooting before even touching the ground, wich is very misleading. Also, the bullets are too fast and too few call this game a bullet hell.
I got disappointed looking for thousands of these gorgeous bullets :P

edit: Maybe i simply didn't play enough to get to the "hellish" part, but you should get your public's attention at the beggining of the experience!

Hope you guys expand it, i see promise!

Very very nice game, awesomes visual and concept. The mechanics could use tweaking and improvements like tracking where the player is and shooting more frequently, but overall, the shaderwork and particles are gorgeous,

additional: Also, background music would set the mood of the game more

A very satisfying game both in its simple core mechanics and stunning use of light which reminds us that sometimes your game do not need to like rendered on the Fox Engine in order to be fantastic.

Given the way enemies were eliminated during the game, I adventure myself to say that this was indeed a combinations genres as described in the game's description: Bullet Hell, Tennis and Block Breaker.

The explanation of the controls were put inside the game, which was kind of surprise given the quantity of titles for this LDJAM 41 tends to leave this aspect of their games outside the feature list or "hidden" behind a "help" button or YouTube video showcasing game play.

The design is very well done, kick the ball and kill is very satisfying! The graphics are nice and minimalist, that tron's look like... fits well:3
However this game needs music, a game like that with electronic music of the 80's or something that make you come up would have been awesome!

Nice. I think adding a backhand shot would be nice.
A bouncing ball could be good also to make multiple kills in one shoot. I think this simple things could improve the rythm.

Beautiful aesthetic! And really tight, intuitive controls with well designed hit feedback and projectile behaviour. Lack of music really dampened the experience for me though. @JeffChen Thank you for uploading a zip. I think the gameplay is cool and fun, the animations and the graphics look good and the overall feeling is very satisfing. The flaws imho are the rakcet hitbox (which I personally did not find consistent, but that may be subjective) and the lack of music.

Hey there, I think this game is really fun. The graphics are great, the sounds are good, and the gameplay is fun. I think you could make the enemies blink before they shoot, that way the player could have another half a second to prepare before hitting the shots back, also you could make the players swing a little more slower to give them a bigger margin of error. But it is really cool. Good Job!!
