Truckfighter is an action-FPS game about running away from a giant sandstorm with your truck. In this game, you must protect your self-driving truck from incoming enemies with your railgun, and bring the fuel cells scattered around to it at the same time.

So this jam was mainly the first kinda-real test for the first person controller I'm building, which specifically designed to achieve high speeds with strafe-jumping. So if you have any problems with that, no matter how small, please let me know in the comments, or @pingFromHeaven

How to play:

  • WASD / Space -> Move / Jump (try strafing, its fun)

  • M1 -> Shoot

  • M2 -> Grab / Throw Fuel Cell

  • I -> Invert Y-axis

Voxel explosions and the storm were made in a really smart way, pretty go job there. Game it rather difficult, I kept trying and trying, if only fire rate was a bit more faster there would be no problems at all.

I really enjoyed what I could play of the game. I am a reverse Y-axis player though so the lack of option to swap the y-axis makes the game largely unplayable for me. I get a headache very quickly when trying to play games without it. What I saw though was very nice. The graphics were really creative, the game concept was good. I agree with @sgt3v that the fire rate needs a SLIGHT boost, although that might not matter if I could toggle the y-axis, since I missed several key shots. Nice game, nice submission.

Sorry for the balancing issues, I kinda rushed the whole thing. I'm going to address those when I'm recovered from post-jam hangover.

And I'll add an invert-Y option as soon as I can.

EDIT: Added. And reduced enemy spawn rate a little.
