Nice entry, everything is a little generic but you got a nice layout to work on something bigger and better :)

Had a lot of trouble finding those hearts!

Some of the SFX really made me laugh. The zombie death noise is hilarious.

gj, feels like a bunch of effort went into it :)
would be lovely to see it fleshed out into a full game if you had time :)

Nice pixel art! I couldn't figure out how to attack the enemies. As a consequence of this and the fact that the player's speed is slower than that of the enemies near hearts, I didn't have much success.

The space in the game is to big tomake the search for heart engaging and fun. The zombies hurt you even from great distances and i actually couln#t find a heart. I likedthe stylish audio, but had problems with the controls. Graphics were good, and i se potential in this game, if the programming was a bit cleaner!!

Pretty good! SFX on point, easy to pick up and play. Found it difficult to not get hit while hitting pesky birds. But fun still.

Fun project, I agree with some others that the size of the map makes it hard to find the hearts and the box. Maybe some kind of pointer or minimap could be helpful in order to see where you've been already? I liked the homebrew sound effects though, reminded me of old George Romero zombie films. :)

Fun! I liked the big map, but sticking 1 heart closer to center would help me know what I'm looking for. Loved the SFX. Would it be possible to decrease the footstep volume relative to all of the others? Great job!

Great idea! Zigzagging seems to be faster than running straight - was it intentional?

Nice game! When a bug touched me, I was stuck in place twice. Is it an issue or a part of gameplay? Because I had more contacts with bugs :)

Fun game! The sounds are pretty funny and the pixel art looks good!

Only two issues: like @catangens mentioned, moving diagonally is much faster than moving straight, so you can easily outrun all enemies that way. Movement speed needs to be normalized.

Also, I tried playing in fullscreen mode and the HUD objects didn't anchor properly to the sides of the screen.

@catangens it wasn't intentional, I didn't even know until you commented it, thanks for the feedback

Congrats on finishing a game in 2 days! Nice graphics.

I had troubles finding out how to attack enemies. It didn't seem consistent. I ended up avoiding enemies by zigzagging through the desert. I found 2 hearts and then traded blood for a new weapon (though I didn't see my blood level go down). It appeared that the enemies didn't move anymore after that?
The space was too big, and I gave up after my third heart.

Cool game, and that zombie dying sounding like a sheep made me laugh, thanks.

I liked the sheep sound zombies make when they are dying. Thank you for providing a web version of the game!

Nice pixel art, sounds and animations! It's a simple game but good. I also found the map somewhat too big; maybe just something pointing in the direction of the box could solve this. Just as @papaver, my blood level didn't go down on purchasing the second weapon and the enemies stopped moving. I just carried on to find the last hearts after that, so I got to the end. Would have loved just a little animation at the end to show you made it, but of course I can imagine time constraints were probably in the way.
