First time in Ludum Dare!

Hello everyone, this is my first time take part in Ludum Dare. I am so excited about this. Maybe the game is not finishing at all, but at least you can play it! That's great!

Game Instruction

At first you will have 4 card in your hand. Three tower card and one magic card. There are nine grid in you field. You can only play card to your own grid. For each grid, you can only place one tower on it. The initial power limit you can use is 2. After each turn your power limit will plus one and restore. You can only play tower card in your turn. When you click end turn button, your opponent turn will start. After your opponent turn, is battle phase. You CANNOT play tower type card during the opponent turn and battle phase. Fortunately,if you feel things not right, you can still play your powerful magic card to save your life, if you have power remain. The only way you can get card is KILL THE ENEMIES and they probably drop the card.

Basic control

WASD to control the camera, QE to rotate the camera. Click the card you want to play and click the gird you want to place.

Game Description

This is a game combined Card game and Tower Defense

I want to put a Hearthstone like and Tower Defense game together. I think it would to so much fun if I can do a lot different card and towers.

Game Design

I didn't finish this game very well. There are so many feature I want to add to it. For example, there are 18 grids in the field. Half of them is yours. The power limit is the total number of grid you have. In this demo, you have nine grid, so your power limit is nine. You can place a kind of special card to your opponent field. If this card survival on your opponent field for two turn, you can capture that area and your opponent power limit will decrease one and your power limit will increase one. Also, in the demo version of this game. You cannot play as Intruder. You can only play as Defender. The type of cards are to simple. There are only 2 type of towers and 1 spell you can use. There should be something like trap card or Mystery to influence you opponent turn. Also, a spell you can upgrade you tower is also needed.

Last but not least

Hello there!

Great idea!

Some things I missed:

* better feedback for what is going on (what phase this is, what can I do right now)
* more enemies/action?

To make the UI easier to parse I think you could add some panels for the various sections, along with a some "tutorial" type pointers on what to do (e.g. when the towers can be placed, show a big arrow pointing at them, then when a tower is picked up highlight somehow the tiles where the tower can be placed).

I think the mechanic would be easier/faster to explore in a 2d game.

It's a bit confusing, good concept and well built game though. UI in particular is hard to use.
