This is really fun and really polished. Great job! I think the only thing that would have improved it for me is if there was some sort of reward for completing a level using fewer than the allotted number of zombies. That would add an extra challenge and some replayability.
Totally within the theme, nice little music... and I appreciate to restart on current level as I'm not a good player ;)
The hitbox of the spikes is a little annoying, killing me even when I touch it from the side, but that might just be my impatience with jump'n'runs...
The idea is awesome, because walking over their undead-dead friends, with not a thought about their sacrifice is exactly what makes zombies so deadly!
Thank you for your understanding & amazing feedback on our game.
Anyway it's really funny game!

Character movement might be a bit rough around the edges, but it doesn't get in the way too much. Little trick you could use to make it a bit more responsive is to let the player jump for a fraction of a second after falling off a platform. This helps prevent some accidental deaths that might feel unfair sometimes.
Nitpicking aside, I would like to play more of this. It is simple, but in an elegant way. The retro aesthetic is well executed and cohesive, and it adds to the compact feel of the game.
Good zombie, I mean, great work guys!
Also the main music theme... I love it so much it will be in my head for next week thanks!
- Solid game with high level of polish
- Very innovative mechanic with the zombie sacrifice
Could be improved
- The spikes hitbox is too wide causing you to die just by going near it (even before the jump)
- Sometimes the dead zombies will move, making it hard to pave the way to the brain
Ok seriously: nice graphics! For me the puzzles were a bit too easy actually. Would have loved to have more and more difficult ones, but well, already quite nice for a game jam entry. All in all it is a funny and nice game, with cool graphics, motivating music and at least a little bit of a learning curve. If made a longer game, could be probably improved. ;)
@kambing: Actually you could use the movement of the zombies to your advantage so I am not sure if it is completely a bad thing?

Great job for making it through the jam. It's great to find a game that has such a straightforward use of the theme, rather than trying too hard to be clever. While it was very short and simple, it was still a nice experience.
The constrains of time really show up though, with some wonky physics here and there. The levels were too easy, except when collisions caused problems. Still though, the sound selection and visuals worked perfectly, and the zombies with Santa hats were a great touch.
Keep on participating on LD jams. [My team](discord.whalesandgames.com) would like to see what else you can come up with next time. Cheers! :whale:
Like others have said, i ran into a couple issues with the hitboxes(maybe shrink them down on the spikes), and a corpse moving out of the way when i landed on it(maybe make them immobile on death?), but great nonetheless!
Thank you for your valuable feedback & spending time playing our game everyone.
Gameplay is not very original, I saw already few games with similar idea (frankly it was my first idea for this jam as well).
Very nice entry overall!
thank you for sharing your game with me and letting me play it on stream. Best music of any LD so far, forever.
* I liked the game's music because it did not sound repetitive and it was some nice sounding music that fit the mood of the game.
One Concept I Disliked:
* I did not like the jumping physics as I thought the gravity was too strong when falling and this was unrealistic.
