Great work, guys.
Graphics are incredibly polished. Awesome animation and pixelart, as well as the introductive drawings.
The halo effect on loading bar and the pixel font are absolute aestethism.
Sound effects are nice, but music is something repetitive and it breaks the mood (I was expecting some of dark and moody rather than a piano loop)
The gameplay mechanic is fairly simple, and after a bit it becomes flat, but it's ok for a jam game.
The theme is fitted with the game idea.
THINGS THIS GAME NEEDS
1. A pause button
2. Actually spot the enemy that are lurking in the darkness (even some evil eyes)
3. A little variation to gameplay (maybe collect apples and eat or cook, or take water from a lake and boil it to drink)
4. An exit button on the win screen (i was stucked and I needed to ALT+F4)
In the overall this is a pretty nice game, surely a 4 star overall.
Have a nice day!

Don't take my critics to seriously, there is a lot of work in this and i can see it, you did a very good job ! very well done.
Concerning the Gameplay, the idea is basic but good (Tree punching is always good). The progress bar of the campfire is a little frustrating. I would like to have some secondary objectives, obstacles or maybe enemies that could sometimes run from the shadow area near you toward the campfire to extinguish is.
The theme is respected. Good work !
Now for my opinions on the game, the art style, sound design and in general most of the visual stuff is amazing. enough to keep me playing for 6 minutes. however the gameplay needs a bit of work. But still everything felt tight in that department, the controls were extremely well made. no floatyness of the charcether. So overall an amazing feat for such a small amount of time.
My only real gripe is that sometimes its hard to judge whether you are in range to interact with something. A highlight on the objects you are about to itneract with would solve the issue, but other than that, great project!
We suffered with some schedules so the gameplay was not what we expected. But still, we will make it better and unique

Thanks <3

It's very good for a 3 day game, good job :)
Only lacks a menu, had to F4, but minor issue !
Nice work !
The music does not fit the rather dark mood and in the (very nice) intro I would have wished for something more dramatic.
Overall there are missing some more things you could do to add some replay-value.
It was no problem to survive ;)
Oh, and I fell in love with the "cinematic" at the beginning.
Very Good entry, congratulations !

We did not expect the game to get too dark and we wanted to bring some of the survival experience to you with a touch of character derpness for the game's music. We have many plans to improve the game that we could not implement these days but soon we will work on it! Again, thanks to everyone for the great feedbacks, we take them all into account. ** <3 **
One Of the bests so far! 10/10
Funny thing, we thought about the same concept at first too, but in a 3D game (somewhat borrowed from don't starve mechanic). But since we would probably use free assets, it would look like any generic survivor horror game. But you guys did it in 2D, well drawn, with some cool introduction and the experience fits together really nicely! Charming game.
I do agree that it doesn't pay off to win. It would be cool some ending scene too. But great game!
I just felt the gameplay was a little bit repetitive.
Love the graphics and the intro is a nice touch, especially for a game jam. But the game gets kinda repetitive after a couple of minutes.
I did have a problem with the fact that trees can spawn on top of your campfire, this can make for some irritating moments where you're trying to deposit your logs but can't cus there's a tree in the way (what a sentence)
Anyway, i had fun and in the end, that's what counts. Good Job!
i think @memel06 wrapped it up quite nicely. I want to add that your narrative is simple but very effective. You could make a story out of it, if you can invent some more game mechanics like hunting and/or cooking, building defense and so on
I think you can easily port this game to mobile because the control do not need good reaction and the game overall it’s very meditative.
Health bar of any kind because getting oneshotet with no warning it’s not fun at all.
The character could be faster because the game territory its already big enough, no need to make game tedious.
Different wood for different effects or enemies, I sincerely think this feature alone can skyrocket your game for several steps.
The list can go on forever, but I know from proper experience how destructive the perfectionism is so I will stop right now.
Overall, very good game and one of smoothest and most polished game ive seen on the moment, good job.
If you can bring a twist to the overused "survive the night" genre in a postjam version, it would be great to play, you already have a very pretty creation!
Really well polished, though, so great work! It didn't get dull to me, but I agree about the need for more clarification on where exactly you'll die (but hey, you die once, you know to avoid it again).
I really enjoed it, so much fun!)
Graphics are really cool! I want to see expended version, it was beautiful)
I really enjoyed the cutscenes at the start, a lot of time must of gone into the aesthetics as it is very polished visually. The gameplay is okay, as others have already stated it's repetitive since the single focus is on cutting trees and feeding the fire. It has a very "Don't Starve" feel to it.
I did have two play issues. A few times trees would spawn in the fire and I couldn't cut them down. A few other incidents were where a tree would spawn right next to a tree I was cutting which would interrupt me.
A arte está linda. o gameplay é simples mas bem gostoso de jogar, além de encaixar perfeitamente no tema da jam. Parabéns a todos pelo ótimo trabalho!
I liked the graphics, music, and mood. The intro was very good. There's not that much variety to tide me over for six hours, but I guess that's probably what it's actually like in the woods. With more stuff going on, I could see this being a lot of fun! Some bugs:
- Stumps can show through trees. An easy way to fix this would be to draw everything sorted by (y + height), which would be the base of the tree, feet of the player, or bottom of the stump.
- The timer briefly shows e.g. 01:60 before flipping to 2:00.
