Story

You are Gregg! You've been coding for the Ludum Dare for around 30 hours and it is now 3:00 AM Sunday Morning. Things are going well until suddenly you're power goes out. You are in a frenzy to try to fix it, and when all appears to be hopeless, you remember that your electrician friend is just on the other side of town! You embark on your quest in your sleepy haze. However, from all these restless hours of coding, your body has started to shut down on you and try to make you sleep. In order to make it across town, you must take periodic naps to maintain your will to go on (your willpower). Lastly, due to how little sleep you've gotten, you have started to hallucinate and become paranoid. Weird walls start to show up along your path to your friends house, and an odd figure appears to be following you.

Gameplay

Make it to The End without being caught by the hallucination following you.
You must sleep in order to maintain your willpower, which allows you to move. When resting you cannot move. Rest in designated rest spaces to sleep faster and more efficiently. Be strategic, Don't get caught, and make it to the end!

Awesome game! Tons of fun! Unique concept and funny videos :P

One thing you might want to change is to make the WillPower-meter a bar instead of a number. Other than that its fun and I wish it was longer :)

I love the music! I'm still getting the hang of the controls though. I never seem to figure out when to sleep and when not to.

Good game. Actually pretty hard. The thing N4tticus said is something that I didn't think of but some maybe do. I have nothing to complain about except for the graphics but I know that you can't make stunning graphics in 48 hours.

This was really fun! The ability to sleep anywhere kind of confuses me because, unless I was doing something wrong, it seemed like I was going to lose no matter what if I slept anywhere except the designated sleeping areas. Perhaps you should "pass out" (and lose) if your willpower reaches zero, rather than waiting for the hallucinations to get you.

Great fun game, though! Good work!

Good game. Like N4tticus said, a more visual indicator of your "energy" would make a huge difference, but you could also add multiple feed back, like aberrations (Image effect) as you have less "will" or as the hallucination gets closer. These aren't hard to implement and can go a long way.

Also the first time i got to the end i missed the jump and ended up falling to infinity, and the background got a bit brighter, i wondered if it was a representation of us falling to a deep slumber after these 48h, that's when I realize : Its time to hit the bed !

Good job

I beat it! I liked the resource management, having to keep the sleep meter up. I found myself sleeping to full at each resting point, but just barely. Ran all the way out once and was pretty scared.

I think you could benefit from putting a screenshot (instead of the lamp with text) as your "promotional" image that gets shown to everybody.

It's a bit difficult, but definitively beatable once you have a good "strategy".
I liked the introduction a lot. Very good live acting (hopefully it didn't happen IRL)!
The game is a bit short though, and at the end I always missed the last sleep point and fell down in the infinite void (does it have a special end if I'm able to sleep there?).
It's a neat idea overall :D

It's a great game, but it takes a bit to figure out a good tactic. Other than that it's an excellent game!

The video is a nice touch. I love the mood you were able to get with this, very unsettling. I wasn't able to get very far. I kept getting stuck after sleeping where I couldn't move and that scary red ball kept catching me. Very cool game, great job.

Nice little game. The main mechanic is interesting, and there's a surprising amount of depth despite how simple it is. I like the video inro. :)

Great music and lovely aesthetic. A very relaxed game although it is tough - maybe the red ball is a tad too quick.

The only other thing I'd change is to have any key wake you up rather than binding it to Q. You could even just have the player stop moving at the z's to recharge.

Great idea though, well done.

Great job with the opening cutscene, loved the music track to. Some sound effects would have brought it to the next level. Great mood set by the music and lighting

Surprisingly hard at the beginning, but gets easier as you keep playing. Took me quite a few tries but I managed to get to the end! Overall a fun and engaging game, and I would not mind if it were a bit longer or had more levels!

Cool little game. More levels would be awesome, but there's only so much that can be done in a weekend. Falling off the end of the world at the end seems to screw things up?

Good job!
