Have You ever wanted to play cards with the devil itself? Now You can! You will play a well known card game in the underground: Cards Against Sanctity. Who doesn't like gambling? Oh, did I mention that instead of boring money, You will be playing for the years of your life? tŁO2.png

How to play:

First choose how much You want to bet by pressing LMB on coins in the bottom part of screen. The number below this coins shows amount of coins You have. Coinstack6.png Number of coins in the middle shows the bet size.

When You're done with bets press LMB on this emblem to start a game.Emblem2.png In this game there are 4 types of cards (which are shown on emblem) and each card has its own power value. The goal of the game is to have more card points on the table than the opponent. You can view your cards power by simply putting your mouse over one of your cards. To pick up a card press and hold LMB then drag to your desired place. The places where You can put your card will green sides as shown on the picture below. Card background 2 oN.png You are always able to put your cards on any of your side of the table, but You can also destroy your opponents cards (your card will also get destroyed). But to destroy your opponent cards, your card needs to be specific Type (Fire card can destroy ice cards, ice can destroy water and water can destroy fire). There is also a fourth type of card: Ground type. Ground cards cannot destroy any other cards and can be destroyed by all the rest of types, but they work as shields: To be able to destroy fire, ice or water cards, all shields must be destroyed first. All of that is shown on the emblem.Emblem2.png

In your turn You have 2 moves. When You want to end your turn simply press LMB on the emblem. In the each bet there are 4 turns (2 are yours and 2 are AI turns), after 4 turns bet ends and bet is won by player who have more power points (The amount of your points is shown above your placed cards). After that You are back to placing bets.tło3.png

I know that rules might be a bit complicated, but I hope You'll still enjoy it. Have fun!

-fixed not going back to menu after game over bug.

Good job! I liked the use of years as the currency. As you say, it is a little confusing until you understand the rules, but that's true of all card games. If you carry it on some on screen prompts would be helpful for getting started. Certainly unique though and I enjoyed my time playing it!

If me and @akand will be working on this game postjam, we'll add a tutorial for sure. We just had no time to add this during the jam, that's why we had to just write the rules (we litterally finished the game 3 minutes before the gamejam ended :3). Anyway thanks for positive review.

Great game. The systems are well defined and interesting. The art and sound design is great. The game could use some more mechanics that lend themselves to player choice. Right now it seems like there's generally an objectively best move and there aren't a lot of interesting decisions to be made. I would also prefer the rounds to be longer, but that's more personal preference. Great job!

Its interesting, very literal take on the theme, your life is currency. I like the music it fits the game and I like graphics. The game play has some depth but it doesnt seem very strategic a lot of it is based on luck and I feel like going second in this game gives you an advantage. Good job.
