PayTime by aqws3

made by aqws3 for LD 44 (COMPO)

In a country where all companies are controled by the goverment and all your information is processed by them, all your monthly work is paid through one of their PayTime locations. You are a teller in charge of handing out the payment of each employee, but be careful to not underpay them or overpay the!

It crashes immediately for me. I see screen with budget in the top left with a picture of a store and a car. Then it just crashes. I'm running windows 7 if that helps.

I've gotten the same error: the game will run for 5-10 seconds then close. I'm on Windows 10.

@killedbyapixel @deglis @kristinnes @coachsisyphus @ldjsq Seems I forgot to include the actual data when exporting. Thanks y'all! I have updated the game, it shouldn't crash now!

Like "Papers, Please" but with no end goal. However, the art direction was nice.

Fun approach. As already said, feels a bit like the "Papers, Please" idea, which isnt wrong or bad. I like the graphics and the core idea here. Big problem was a bigger screen. To overlook the "pay rules" it was a bit hard to handle.
Still fun game and I totally like the whole idea!

Not sure if I were doing right or wrong haha, I guess money management is not for me! Also in my country we do not use dollars so maybe I completely messed up with the values

The game is pretty chill, the art is cool, each person has enough information so that you can think a little bit, without having to read tons of texts to estimate the pay, which is great. The idea is cool, maybe keep on working on it a bit ! And with bigger screen haha

Great work!
Cool game, but consider a bigger window or even fullscreen.
Keep it up!

Works fine on my Windows 10 x64. Really like the graphics style, I couldn't tell how I was supposed to play it right, some instructions would be nice. Some music and basic sounds will help a lot.

Good entrance!
Man, it was kind of confusing, but his aesthetic was well maintained. I see you've struggled in the details, it's a great starting Xp. Congratulations.

Okay, the announcement tells you how to calculate their pay, is there anything else you're supposed to do? I felt like I needed more instructions. Is there a time thing? I saw people pile up. What do the debt and exclamation buttons do? Seemed unresponsive. Also, it seemed like I couldn't pay the first person, the Pay button didn't do anything until the second person. I feel like there could be an interesting game in here, but I couldn't find it.

Interesting concept. The whole thing gave me a bit of a 'Papers Please' vibe. I'm not that fond of math as a game mechanic, but I won't hold that against you. I didn't hear any audio in the game. Is that intended? If so you should remove the _audio_ category from the ratings.

I liked this concept and the art was great. It did take me a while to figure out what I was doing though.

it got potential, adding some more to it could make this game similar to papers please (so i mean adding some challenges where you need to fugure out if they try to scamm you, lying about hours worked or thir job and so on). im still not sure what the ! button did.
