Checkers Emblem by Bownly

It's a 1-2 player game which can basically be summed up as Checkers where you can level up your pieces.

With only 2 buttons to work with, I figured this would be a good chance to give a game that I like the Divekick treatment. I had just finished up Fire Emblem Fates a couple days ago, so I had FE on the brain. But then I made the game checkers based instead because that was more manageable.

Warning: the Linux build is as of now untested. Caveat ludius.

Took a little bit to figure out how the controls work. You have an arrow pointing at your first piece and then you have to choose if that piece will move to the left or the right on the next row. Having two of your pieces move to the same square stacks them. However, I had a large stack and that got gobbled up by a small stack of the AI so it seems like stacking the pieces isn't a good move. Wasn't too sure what the win conditions were.

Anyway, looks like it could be an interesting little game a bit more context. And kudos on having both one and two player.
