Very fun and challenging. Even when spamming left+right click and moving around fast it's still hard. Special attacks are cool, and graphics are great.

I didn't hear any sound though.

Found myself playing this for 20min, banging my head to the killer soundtrack, slaying enemies and charging energy for that fantastic ultimate abilitty. The art style is great and the gameplay is brutal and fast. One thing i got to say is i never used Shift+ left click, cuz i never found a use to it. if i understood correctly it is a slashing attack, but basic attacks attack all enemies around you so never really used it. Once again great job.

The music and the pixel art are very complete and suits each other, very good and challenging game play. I had a bit difficult to shift lbm at the same time got killed each time i tried.

Very cool, fun game. Very challenging, too. The music and graphics were spot on, but it didn't really fit the theme. You gained power, instead of losing it. Still a great entry!

I have nothing but praise for this entry. Art and audio are on point. Difficulty is kept up in a good way.

My only critic would be that hitboxes are a little hard to read (notably the reach of enemies), and the fact that spamming click is way too strong and should have a downside.

This is for sure one of the cleanest, funnest, and most polished games i have played yet. Had a lot of fun playing and will likely be back for more.

Awesome game! It's a ton of fun to slash away at the swarm of bad guys and the special attack was satisfyingly powerful. The music was great as well.

I did have a bit of trouble telling when I would hit the enemies at first. I repeatedly would swipe at them where I though I should hit them, only to miss and have them kill me an instant latter.

Really nice visuals and audio and fun concept. Reminds me a lot of hyper light drifter but arcadie! Good work!

Like chimadan said, superjuicy. Love the animation and artwork. I would say my one gripe was with the controls. The mouse wasn't changing the way my character faced, so besides the bullet time it felt awkward to initiate the bullet time by pressing the shift, mouse, and make sure I was moving away from enemies all at the same time. But that's nitpicky. Everything felt stylish and the OST was :clap:

Oooh, this is great! Everything feels very cohesive with the gameplay, graphics, and music, and it just feels very satisfying and fun. Deaths can sometimes be a little unpredictable, but that's really my only problem! I only wish that my left shift key wasn't broken (making me unable to do the fancy special attacks) so I could get the full experience, but even running around left clicking things was fun so that's saying something!

Good job with the game. I really enjoyed the the art style and the soundtrack was on point. The movement dashes felt very clean and the slashes were satisfying. One thing that could be improved, however, was the enemy attacks since it was not super clear how big the hit box was or when they were swinging. Overall nicely done.

Oh boy. I really loved that game. I do hope that you will work on it after the jam. I love slashers and this could be really solid one. I had a few issues with it but they are completly irrevelant for a jam game and I'm only talking about theme because I really like that game. I feel that collision detection isn't as tight as it should be - I got hit by enemies that were striking to my left or right and rarely even got hit by their backs. Similarly I felt that sometimes i didn't hit them but they still died. econd thing is that I usually died after using special by the enemy that was offscreen before. Having time slowed for a sec after using it would be nice. Loved ultimate and it's Fist of the Northen Star referance. Having gamepad supported would be also something that I would look forward to. Overall I bookmarked it to play it later some more. That's saying something.

You already know that the game is fun and polished (though it could have used a bit more variety), so allow me to b̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶t̶o̶t̶a̶l̶ ̶w̶e̶e̶a̶b̶o̶o̶ nitpick your Japanese. The title screen text should really be "サイゴの ULTIMATE BATTLE" in order to show that Saigo is in the possessive. "サイゴス ULTIMATE BATTLE" makes it seem like the name of the robot is Saigos.

Sweet Jesus, I really enjoyed this game. It's like I kept playing for 15 minutes, kept pressing restart just to 'play one more'. I was shouting, swearing, as I was dying on one hit, but it's more than ok to me. This game has, that not every game out there do have: you just feel the gameplay. You slash left and right, do sick moves, flash around battlefield. Graphics are cool too, they fit all the theme. Just be careful about the music. Making music with sounds out of tune can be very dangerous, and I don't think it really fit the game style. But overall, dude, one of the best entries so far.

This is the funnest and most addictive game I have played so far in LD39. When I pressed Shift I couldn't see neither slowmo nor special attacks (even with the full three bars), don't know why. Great work though.

I love the audio and the graphics! You've created a very cool atmosphere with this '80s era cyberpunk vibe. The only thing I'm not very keen of is the controls.. I wasn't sure if it makes a difference where I aim at when attacking? I also couldn't cast any of the specials. Very solid entry overall, congratulations! :)

This game can be quite fun and intensive, though I felt it was a little bit buggy when restarting – sometimes the shift key would "stick"? Also I wish the intro "tutorial" was just a bit more intuitive, I didn't realise the shift clicks applied to one and three bars respectively …

Other than that, it was a very fun experience. The music fitting, the graphics seemed quite polished. Quite addictive, too – maybe add an online leaderboard? Overall, good job!

Really fun, and set at a good difficulty where it's not too easy but not too hard. The graphics and music were really great. The music was kinda strange but I liked it, if only it fit the gameplay better.
All around a solid entry, I didn't see any flaws.

Great game! Has a few loose ends, like with the seemingly pointless crosshair, the lack of a downside to spamming M1 and sometimes inputs don't fire, but for the most part accomplishes what it set out to accomplish. Very impressive!

Really fun game! I found the difficulty became frustrating at times though, almost entirely when I found myself running into an enemy's attack. It almost feels like sometimes they would do an attack even when I wasn't close, and then I would run into that, though I may be wrong. Other than that, really fun to play, and great looking visuals and audio. Well done.

Graphics is cool, gameplay simple, controls comfortable. But too hardcore for hero without motivation imho.
