This is really solid. I love the physics/character movement. The forcefulness makes it so that you need to strategize every move you make. This game is so polished, I almost can't believe it came out of a jam :p

This game is awesome! The mechanics are very well designed, the graphics are just what the game need. It's incredible you put this in a jam. Congrats! ;)

I WANT MORE!

I've always been a fan of NES-type platformers. The old Marios, the Mega Man... especially Mega Man! And this game gives me the same vibe. The sounds, the graphics (very talented graphic designer!), the tight controls. I'm just glad the check points are at each entrance instead of midway.

Please, please give this game some love and continue developing it. Lots of potential.

I really enjoyed this game, and I love the slowdown mechanic. Some of the fights felt a bit off, something like a block would have been nice to deal with the guys with shields, but overall it was a ton of fun. I love your visual style, and even my teammate (who isn't a fan of the art) had to give you props for keeping it consistent and stylized throughout. Really great and really solid.

Tip to you: Enemies snapping their aim to you right before they fire can feel a bit cheap. I saw a turret starting to line up a sawblade and jumped right before it would fire, but it immediately pointed up and shot my nuts and bolts off.

Tip to people playing: It gets a bit easier when you realize you can reflect the sawblades by hitting them.

Love it! Really liked the fights, they reminded me of Prince of Persia. Controls graphics and sound all perfect. Amazing work!

What a pixel art, super example of how to use an almost "mono color" palette! Great experience, the animations, feedback and overall feeling are very pleasant, the delay really makes you feel you're piloting a bot, the mechanics are solid too. The sound track is a bit too repetitive but totally ok to re-inforce with the atmosphere. One of the best entry i tested so far, congratz & keep up the good work :thumbsup:

Fantastic entry! I loved the artstyle - you kept everything to a unified palette much like oldschool GameBoy and NES games did, but you made the things that needed to stand out do so via good usage of lighter shades and outlining. The music was nice, but I will say that I liked the second half of the song when the drums kick in significantly more than the first one which sounded just a bit too messy and detuned for my liking. The gameplay mechanics were great! They very much reminded me of Dark Souls in terms of the combat and the platforming was satisfying as well. You had a good variety of enemies that all functioned differently in terms of the ways you had to defeat them. I also loved how you implemented the power meter which incentivized the player to keep moving and perfect their timing in the combat and plafroming as to not become too slow and clunky. If I had to nitpick I will say some of the level design was a bit unforgiving, and the jumping felt off at first as I expected it to work in a similar way to, for example, the Mario 2 crouch jump where you charge it up and release the button to launch yourself. Having the robot jump on its own regardless of whether you held down the button threw me off a bit, but I got used to it fairly quickly. Overall, definitely one of the rare 5-star entries that I come across. Fantastic work!

I had fun playing your game guys :)

Some points that could be improved:
- The key layer! ("P" to attack? and it's not written in the game, I made the first 5 levels without attacking because I tried a lot of keys, then I read your description ^^)
- Sounds are very basic (it's enough in fact, but with these graphics, I was hoping for more mechanics sounds or electrical stuff ^^, but anyway, your sounds are sufficient :) )

Some points that I loved:
- Graphics! Really nice color palette, warm and stifling
- Level design! Nice progression and difficulty

Combat mechanism is fluid, really intuitive. A solid entry!

Absolutely loved the art style and overall design, extremely well done. I found it a bit difficult in a frustrating way to time the jump attacks to hit lights within shorthop distance, but overall the controls feel really solid.

I really enjoyed the movement speed, jump weight, etc., it really lent itself well to the robot feel. I'll defiantly recommend people check this out.

amazing art and animation. Unfortunately, the fact that the robot stop at each step makes the game lest playable. To be honest that's what stop me from playing the game all through.Still a solid entry! great game.

@brandon-diaz
Thanks very much! Yeah with a little more polish we probably could get "weight" without "frustration."

@teddydd
We might!

@angela-he
Thank you very much! I could say the same about your entry ;D

What can I say? The art style is beautiful and the music fits really well with it. I really like how the robot moves, you can feel how heavy it is. Loved the levels. Sometimes I wished to have a shield too! Wonderful game guys :)
