Also sometimes controls stop working after level restart.
I love the last level, it let you vent! You can stand right there and quickly smash all those enemy that annoying you for 19 level! :smiling_imp::smiling_imp:
Also, I love the music! It's amazing that you can finish the music and 20 level in 48hrs!
However, as @fedor said, sometime I can't move after killed by alien, but I can go back to menu and choose that level again to fix it.
@dankypants Yes! Thank you that means a lot, spent a decent amount of time on level design
@igorsgames Yeah I wasn't 100% satisfied with how the music fit into the game. Appreciate the feedback!
@fedor Appreciate it! Yeah that bug is being very elusive.
@goldranger Haha Thanks for the kind words, means a lot! Glad you enjoyed it!
@dob Yeah, decided to allow free level select. I'm glad I did because otherwise this bug would have been much more frustrating to players. Thanks for playing!
@justinooncx Thank you! Appreciate the feedback and glad you liked it!
Great work!
I really enjoyed playing it!
Simple mechanics simple design but very enjoyable!
Beat all 20 levels. I got stuck for a bit on lvl 18 tho ^^. If you add a bunch more levels and make an android app out of it, I would definetely install it. Best game I've seen so far
I love the art, very nice aesthetic, especially with the unique vertical aspect ratio.
The one thing was a bug I experienced where around every 7th restart of a level I would be unable to move. Going back into the level select screen fixes that. It got pretty annoying in the later levels.
Overall great work!
Really, I'm always amazed how one can come up with such mechanics. I'm not good in thinking up stuff like that.
The game feels complete too! Graphics are consistent, fitting audio and music.
On top of that you've made 20 levels! And a superb tutorial that teaches the mechanics of the game, even when you don't have accompanying text.
I enjoyed playing this game to the end.
@godot35 Hey Rust Bucket is one of my favorite Nitrome games! So this takes a lot from that, glad that it comes across. Yeah I agree, I should have either centered the enemy or redesigned it. Thanks for the feedback!
@lereveur Thanks for playing!
@kiirohanabi So glad to hear, I tried to make sure nothing was too frustrating while still providing a challenge. Thanks for playing!
@wabble Level 18 is definitely the hardest one in my opinion, given more time I would have reordered the levels and 18 would be the last one. Really appreciate the kind words!
@terracottafrog Thank you! Yeah that bug was pretty annoying and only happened if you killed certain enemies in certain situations, or if you tried to move while dying. It's been fixed. Thanks for playing!
@svntax Thank you! Spent quite a bit of time on level design so that's nice to hear
@estebe Thank you so much! Really when it comes to thinking up mechanics, I borrow a lot from different games I've played. This one like @godot35 had noticed takes a lot from Rust Bucket (which is a remake of Turnament) both great games that you should check out if you liked this one! Thank you for playing!
Thanks everyone for the kind words and feedback! The bug everyone was experiencing where controls stopped working should be fixed in the latest version.
The little particle effects and the UI also served to make the game feel very complete. A lot of LD jam games feel like prototypes, but yours felt like a finished game, and that's a huge plus. Making this on your own in 48 hours is impressive, great entry!
Looks like it would also make a fine mobile game ;-)
Superb work, well done!
I think the only thing I would have liked would be some kind of boss level. Either with a large enemy that you had to lure to it's death, or maybe just a larger level that had a very specific puzzle feel. Then once you complete it you move on to the next chapter with new enemies. Though that was a minor want, the rest of the game felt really solid and I could easily see you expanding upon this concept into a larger game. As the Graphics, Sound, and controls were on point.

Very classic gameplay for a puzzle game, but amazing level of polish in such a short time, and great level design. Awesome work here, congrats!
